in the install folder of tpp you check the steam_appid for the save, plus you can also check recent edits to your userdata, which is where least my saves are kept, and for me its the only one updating
im having the cant make save file issue, delete it does nothing.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\YourID\311340
Also, you may have to use the in-game option to delete the save. I ran into a similar issue with a broken save file after it crashed while saving. I keep a backup of that folder now.
#1 Go to https://www.steamidfinder.com/
#2 Type in your original Username in Steam.
#3 Get your "steamID3".
#4 Check this with your path on your drive:
#5 C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\????????\311340\
https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Metal_Gear_Solid_V:_The_Phantom_Pain#Save_game_data_location
How you configured the game:
<Steam-folder>\userdata\<user-id>\287700\local\
Where the save states are stored:
<Steam-folder>\userdata\<user-id>\311340\remote\
If you have GZ it uses both, if you don't have GZ it only uses the TPP save, that's why two locations. Mostly so it can import the GZ info to TPP. If you only have TPP you will only have one of these file locations.
