Where are the saved game files at?

Playing it at my friends house today and I wanted to continue where I left off on my own computer tomorrow

Good question. Game tells me to delete saves and start it again, yet doesn't tell me where saves are located. Brilliant.

I've checked there, nothing in that folder that looks like a savegame, just a 1-2kb config file. Asked a friend that can run the game to check, he doesn't have any saves there either.

Yeah, I know, it's the 287700 folder, which is what I checked. It only has an empty local folder, and a "dbdata" file, deleting both does nothing, and no other files are present. Having the same "Failed to create save data. Exit the game and delete save data." issue, can't seem to find a way to fix it.

The save file is in the Ground Zeroes folder for some reason...

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\YourID\311340

Also, you may have to use the in-game option to delete the save. I ran into a similar issue with a broken save file after it crashed while saving. I keep a backup of that folder now.

It's under ID/311340 ( GZ's folder ). TPP also share the same cloud save folder as GZ. Must be why they allow you to transfer GZ save to TPP through Steam cloud service.

Thank you i would of never imagine it was there, save me a bunch of time doing everything again, i was even thinking on downloading on of those 100% save files i was so close to finish. but you kept me away from cheating

If you have GZ it uses both, if you don't have GZ it only uses the TPP save, that's why two locations. Mostly so it can import the GZ info to TPP. If you only have TPP you will only have one of these file locations.
