Cutscene Dialogue Audio Issue
Seems like this is only affecting cutscenes, but nearly all of the dialogue audio is extremely muffled to the point that I can't hear anything the characters are saying even though the rest of the audio is completely fine.

EDIT: Resolved after changing system sound to Stereo

I have the same problem. Does anyone have a solution?

I have a similar problem.
Everything works fine but after a while the voices and music cut out completely. Happened to me two times now. First time during a cutscene and the second time when I jumped off a little cliff. As soon as I landed, the sound was gone.

Restarting the game seemed to fix it for a while but I'd like to know of a permanent solution.

I have this same issue with the cutscene dialogue audio missing or too quiet.
The rest of the audio during cutscenes seems fine such as music and enviroment.
Looking for a fix as well.

I think I fixed my problem. I verified the integrity of the game cache and it found some files that were faulty. Had to redownload about 2.9GB but so far it works flawless.

To do that go to your library>right click MGSV>properties>local files and select to verify.

Definitely give it a shot if you didnt already.

And in case you have headphones and this didnt work out, check if your system sound is set to stereo. I saw a few posts where it was set to 5.1 or something like that. Fixed it for them at least.

Can confirm that setting your system sound to stereo resolves the audio issue.

reinstalling the entire game fixed it for me, without changing to stereo.

Hey guys, I think I have found a solution to your problem. Try going to your control panel --> Hardware and Sound --> Sound --> then right click on the device you are using and click configure (whatever you are using). Make sure you switch it to Stereo. Try reloading the mission again and see if this helps. If not try going under your motherboard sound app and switching audio to stereo. Hope this helps!

If you're using 5.1 or 7.1, simply boost the volume of center speaker, this will solve your issue since for some strange reason all dialogue is coming out of center speaker only.
