Konami Copyright Strikes on YouTube

What I want to know is, why is Konami copyrighting Hideo Kojima's face? I got a copyright message for my video for MGSV:GZ.

The copyright is for audiovisual at 15:14-16:03, this is where Kojima makes his appearance in Ground Zeroes. Am I to understand that they literally own his face? What?

It's not a copyright strike. It's a copyright claim. Meaning that they don't want you making money off it. Kinda douchey, yes, but within their right. If you hadn't had monetization on the video, it wouldn't have happened.

Konami are doing a Nintendo right now. Any cutscenes you've got will be picked up by their content id bot, this includes TPP, perhaps something for youtubers to consider before doing any crazy work. Jim Sterling had his weekly news show ID'd with revenue going to konami before it was published.

Not so sure. Jim Sterlings video had no audio but instead visuals and still got ID'd before it even got 1 view.

It's not just music, it can be any clip of the audio form sound effects to any voice. There is ways around this, one way I know of it to change the pitch of the audio via audacity.

Was it a strike or Matched 3rd party content? if it's just Matched 3rd party you can still make videos but you can't make money off of it.

Had the same problem on the main mission, in the 1st cutscene even with the heres to you music muted got a copyright claim, all though i already put out a "objection", because there was actually no copyright lmao.
