Can I Run MGS V TPP

Hey guys, I play most of my games on a laptop (don't judge) because my desktop is a potato. Do you think I would be able to run MGS V TPP with a GTX 950m and an i7 dual core with hyper threading (2.4ghz)?

Yes, I have Nearly the same Maybe you would get 30 Frame rate at best.
Don't trust CYRI, I tried it and it did not work for GZ and TPP even I run GZ just fine.

30 frame? 60 FPS rather than 30. I Have I5 Dual Core 3.3 ghz with 860m and I run GZ at 1080p with 60fps in high.
I7 deals with hyper threading, so good point for you. And your GPU is actually pretty good for this kind of game.

You tried GZ?
I'm also worried about the dual core, but I think the most important is the GPU.
Overall, you will be fine with low-medium stting in 1080p if you are looking for 60 FPS. Now, we must pray for a game especially well optimised :p

simple solution. just preorder mgs5, try out ground zeroes for free. and refund if it runs like ♥♥♥♥

Or wait after the release in order to have a kind of "demo" that you can found on some sites, if you know what I mean. And if the game runs perfectly, just buy it.

I run Ground Zeroes at high settings with a 1600 X 900 resolution 30fps lock enabled. The Phantom Pain has the same exact system requirements as Ground Zeroes. I run Ground Zeroes just fine on a I7 4700MQ 2.4GHZ Turbo 3.2GHZ, 8GB Memory, Nvidia GeForce GT 755M 2GB GDDR5. I believe if you can run Ground Zeroes you should expect around the same performance in The Phantom Pain, but I am not positive on that. There may be some differences, but if it is largely the same there shouldn't be too much of a difference that it could ruin your experience.

The game will be surely extremely well optimized.
I could run it smoothly 60fps at full HD.... With 2.50 ghz

your GPU is either about the same speed as OP's ... or almost twice as fast (GM107 and OP has 640 shaders; if you have GK104, you have 1152 shaders). and you have 4 dedicated cores instead of 2 hyperthreaded, so no wonder you get "60 fps"

as for OP, you should be okay, CPU-wise. i get a smoothish performance with mid to mid-high graphics on just a wee dualcore haswell pentium + 7790. slightly hitchy at times, but your hyperthreading should fix that.

If you were able to run GZ, you will be able to run TPP. Look at the console comparisons. The game runs exactly like GZ, even though it's bigger. The engine allows that, though. Even the PS3 version of TPP runs exactly like the PS3 version of GZ, so that's a good benchmark.

Thanks for the super detailed response. As someone suggested, I'm gonna pre order MGS TPP and se if I can run GZ. If I can't, I'll return it.
