Keyboard and Mouse vs. Controller

Which one should I use for The Phantom Pain? I played through Ground Zeroes with my keyboard and mouse, but I feel like it would have been a better experience overall with the controller. Should I take the time to acquaint myself with my controller for this game, or should I stick to the keyboard and mouse?

I play games like The Witcher 2 and Dark Souls 1/2 with the controller.
Other games like Call of Duty, Far Cry 3, Skyrim, etc, I play with my keyboard and mouse.

I will be personally using a KB+M due to all the aiming. I struggle too much when it comes to aiming with a joystick to use a controller. The GZ controls were almost perfect, they just need to change it so the mouse controls the weapon/interrogation wheels. I'm hoping this will be the case in TPP.

I would love to have a choice like you ;-; I have to use my backup mouse which isn't clearly for gaming... Thankfully I've got a X360 Controller.

i heard on mgs stream that, controller for better movement, mouse for aiming, but you dont need super mlg aim in mgs, so controller is better if you have one

I don't trust my controller for varying tilts with its analog sticks, so it's unreliable with precision aiming, stealth walks, and minute camera adjustments. ($20 for crap like this? Ugh.)

So it's K+M for me.

I'll probably play with a gamepad, this seems like a good game for beeing played laid-back in my couch and for those situations, gamepad just works better (atleast for me).

Controller for easier functionality, smoothness, and movements. Not as accurate as a keyboard and mouse, but too me it still surpasses it.

m + k works fine but this game is made for controllers thats why its easier to handle that way

Wired Xbox 360 gamepad all the way :) Usually I am a diehard K+M user but for a TPS like this, Gears of War (wohoo that one will be on the PC pretty soon as well), Hack and slashes like DMC, MGRR or Dark Souls 1-2 and fighting and racing games I would say having a good gamepad is essential and since the wired Xbox 360 gamepad offers the most compatibility just get that one :)

the only problem i have when i played GZ was the super slow crouch movement. it was near impossible for me to accomplish w/ KB. might need that when you're trying just trying to creep around.

On a serious note, I'll be doing K+M. Smooth cinematic movement and such, but aiming is always better with mouse. Well, mostly. Let's not get into Binary Domain, okay? GZ worked really good with K+M and I need to practice before MGO will be a thing :3 Then and there aim WILL matter. And movement precision too.

Plus, c'mon, I play fighting games on KB, what are you expecting? Though I use it in hitbox manner...
