Can't name myself at the hospital

Can't name myself at the hospital. When doctor asks me what's your name and other staff. When i should write my name and birthday. I can only write numbers. Does anyone know how i can fix it?

I really don't know how's that possible, but you shouldn't worry about that - the name you enter does not affect the game anyhow. Soo keep it at numbers, why not.

I can't start the game because of that. It says i must write it. And only on english you know.

I also had a problem with this! I can barely rememeber the details, but I remember figuring it out somehow. It seems the scene was meant for controller input typing.

Ty but it doesn't work for me. I figured whats the problem and trying to resolve it. It's because i'm russian and when i start the game it starts with russian keyboard and i can't switch it in the game. So i want to change my current system location to somewhere where it will use english at first after i launch the game, and then try my best.

I'm about to necro this thread, cause OP didn't end up telling whether they fixed it or not. My friend just had this problem and we fixed it.

If your game starts not in English layout, you can type in numbers but not letters, change your layout. Open up your steam overlay (Shift+Tab probably), then press Win+Space which will change keyboard layout. Close overlay and enter the name.

windows11 xbox controller,click A when namebar shows,enter name via KB LMB curser gone
down arrow on pad A scroll arrow shows go to your birth month A right arrow go to day and enter with A click on OK to go to avatar set up after next cutscene.
