How does not showering actually affects my performance?

Just wondering,i just saw an article that if you do not shower,your field performance will lower. But what does it mean by field performance? like get spotted quickly? sprints slower?

Your reflex mode will be shorter and enemies will be able to smell you.

I believe it also has hidden effects like HP. Not completely sure though.

It also effects reflex mode time... iv heard that being bloody makes you easier to be spotted... but i have never looked into it.

From what I understand, Showering will extend your reflex time, will improve weapon stability (less shakiness) and will prevent you from starting to smell, which can lead to enemies detecting your presence. Although I do reccommend being so long in the field so you start gathering flies, you can get some pretty funny cutscenes that way when you return to Motherbase, definitely try it with Quiet if you have her.
