I just watched a french review of MGSV TPP on youtube and this guy puts a hughe dislike on that game.

His reasons: As far he is concerned this game is racist.

Do you guys agree about that?

Well to him to fulton away africans and trying to exploit african children is racism. That's mainly what he says.

Is it racist because the villain wants to destroy English? That's not even racist. The message of the game isn't racist. Using child soldiers in Africa isn't racist; it's accurate to the location and time period. It can be sexist at times (freaking Quiet), but it sure as hell ain't racist.

The child soldiers are, in some regards, some of the most powerful soldiers in the game. You can't use conventional weapons on them, so you're restricted to a maximum magazine size of 40 (with the SMG), very few area-of-effect devices (sleeping mines, sleep/stun grenades, and I think one or two grenade launchers), and penetration-less weapons. While the children can be "exploited" by farming their missions for heroism, that's not exactly a bad thing: you do a good thing (save children from a lifetime of warfare) and get a good reward (not becoming a demon).
And you Fulton a ton of Russians before you Fulton any Africans.

Nowadays, people are so much easier to offend. Its racist this, its ableist that, sexist this. I wonder how if enjoying a game will then be offensive to someone else soon. Its racist if you're truly very sensitive i suppose. "oh woe is me, all these black soldiers in africa". But then again, its just a game. That doesn't make the overall game bad.

I didn't find the game to be racist at all - But I find it odd that Afghanistan is 99.9% devoid of Afghan people... except for that one guy you rescue during a mission

It's hard to comment on the perceived racism when I don't know the frog's reasoning for labeling the game racist.

I've watched the review. The truth it: it gives a worst impression of the reviewer than of the game itself. Even if you don't undrstand french, the simple fact that he starts the video the he does says... Much.
Now if you do understand french, it only become more and more obvious that the guy doesn't know what he's talking about and just gives an uniformed opinion of a few fragments of the game. He shows and talk about parts of the game, never concidering it in full.

I speak french and this "review" is BS. 1/ it's not a review with objective stand point, positive and negative. No. It's just trash talking about non sens. He complain 5 min about reflexe mode. Who ask you to use it dumbass ? I never turned that thing on. He then say crap about abducting affrican people.... typical guy who think as a racist and call other people racist. those people make me puke. it's called "incitation à la haine"
