Curious....How accurate are the languages in the game?
Like, if you knew russian. Could you properly understand what they said?

I don't know other languages aside from english. But i'm pretty sure kojima doesn't put gibberish language in his game.

Well, I know one is wrong.

The Russian word "Cyka" doesn't translate to "Damn" as it does in the game.

EDIT: Heh, Steam censors it because it knows the actual translation. Word sounds like "SOOKA" and means the bad word for female dog.

Africaneer and kikongo sounds legit. But lacks some languages that should be spoken in that part of africa such as portgues.

It also lacks English, which would be extremely common in South Africa.

Well I remember one Russian soldier spotting me, he said something and the capture for it was "What was that?" or something like that. However, what he actually said sounded more like "pas, dva, tri" which means one, two, three. That left me really confused...

There's the Viscount and the other British prisoners, plus White Mamba. It's a bit of a shame that Rogue Coyote don't speak English though, considering they're former Rhodesian SAS and all. I suppose they couldn't be bothered to voice separate CPs/HQs for each of the three PMCs on the Angola-Zaire border.

The French news flash on the radio in Africa is legit.

It was "pas-ma-tri" which meant "look, there"

Russian is pretty good in that game, it was funny, when Miller said that i need russian interpreter to understand my native language :rage: Soldiers speak with accent, but it's not so horrible, like it was in battlefield 4.

I don't speak Russian myself but coming from a Slavic country I am able catch some words which are used in some situations.
For instance, when I hold up a soldier he says something like "I don't want to die" (I am able to understand the "die" part at least).

So yes, I think it's legit Russian :)

About Skullface
Well in this scene he speaks Hungarian, first I could not recognize it, pronunciation so bad, but the thing he said is almost accurate. To be fair our language is kinda hard.

Well, there is one sentence in polish in the prologue and it's terrible :D

The afrikaans is okay, but you can tell that some of it was english voice actors because they speak with an english accent, especially the guy who did the voice for HQ, some of it is pretty funny, considering the history and listening to the conversations some have about apartheid and how the up side of the bantustans for one soldier is to visit the casinos and the other soldier calls him a "doos", meaning "c*nt".
