So... im trying to get the animal achievement but this 1 animal is being a ***** i checked the following locations:

And after trying each spot about 30 minutes i still have nothing.... anyone knows any more spots besides those?

I feel you, tried all guides I could find and nothing. The only thing I can think of is that it might really come down to trap placement. Maybe they need to be placed precisely around some plant, on a rock or a type of soil...

Nope, it's random. This is not the first time Trolljima has implemented this mechanic into an MGS game.

The known point south of Bwala ya Masa does yield it, but it took a ridiculous amount of GMP to continuously drop in and extract to find it. I also verified the point I used 3 times. Each time yielded 7 gerbils and 1 Leopard Tortoise.
From the drop-off south of Bwala ya Masa, head north along the waterway to the area of the small waterfall. From the waterfall face almost due west and head to the rock wall. There is a large rock here that is approximately 90m from the drop-off. Place your traps and good luck.

First try 7X Gerbil 1X Leopard Tortoise, that after trying same and other areas for hours while alternating getting the other fixed animals and going to that waterfall area.

I'm not getting that damn turtle but is not like the screenshots help that much because *people keep taking them at night when I can barely see ♥♥♥♥*. Maybe I'm just being unlucky though.
