Mission Bonuses?
Hey peeps. I've searched but couldn't find ant dfeinitive answers so I thought maybe some of the really knowledgeable and helpful players I've noticed in our community could lend some insight.

My questions are numerous but I'll limit the post to a few and welcome all debate and conversation as I've found over the years thats the best means to an end.

First, Does anyone know what the various "Mission Bonuses" award?
ie:
No Kills
No Alerts
No Reflex
Etc, etc....

I aske because some missions just seem so hard to do without breaking certain parameters.
I wonder, is the bonus really worth retrying the mission dozens of times?
Is it worth it to try and rescue the prisoner in the "Honey Bee" mission over and over without alerting or killing anyone?
Or is that bonus so small that I should just push forward and focus on killing the skulls, and not killing soldiers?

Second, Do the bonuses such as "No Kill" and "No Alert" become active or "Trippable" as soon as you select a main story mission from your Idroid, or only once you eneter the mission area?

Thats it for now.
I do have lots of other questions but in the interest of courtesy to those who might answer and those who might be reading, I'll stop and hope for some answers.

Thanks in advance.

No reflex is 5k, from what I've seen. The others you mentioned are 5-10k. Perfect Stealth varies based on the mission, but it's usually 20k. If you're trying to get an S ranking, most missions you're better off restarting from a checkpoint if you are detected, since you only lose the 5k "no restart" bonus once, after all. The one exception that comes to mind is Backup, Back Down (and its extreme version), which I don't think does an autosave and has enough from the bonus objectives to get an S rank without anything else.

If you want to resuce the Honey Bee prisoner without an alert, your best bet is to infiltrate at night, rush through the valley where he starts out and get on the road ahead of him. Then have your horse take a dump in the road, and extract the vehicle and all its occupants.

I kept trying to extract him without triggering an alert on site, and I enventually gave up. I should've waited for a sandstorm perhaps... I don't recall the bonus being that big a deal though.

The bonuses start being tracked as soon as the mission starts. If you're on the ground in an area, then select a mission, you haven't started the mission until you go to the start point and get the starting intel and whatnot.

Thanks Vardis,

So, If I manage to get him outside and Fultoned out without an Alert, the mission doesn't end...
So, does that mean there is more that needs to be done in order to complete the mission without an alert? (As in actual working objectives) or do I just need to exit the Mission area? I ask, because I actually had to pick the kids up and paused there...lol
Figured I'd ask before continuing.
So Far, I have him fultoned outside, with no alerts.
But in the interest of speed and stealth, I didn't loot anything or kidnap any decent soldiers to Motherbase.

Speed is the number one way to get an S-Rank, but you don't need to do that with every mission on your first go. Early on you need staff and resources to build up your base, rather than the GMP you get from a good mission rating, so it's better to focus on taking it at your own pace. I took 3 hours to complete mission 6 on my first go!

You can come back later once you have better gear and a better understanding of the game to get that S-Rank.

Yeah, even the Hospital or the Mother Base tutorial. Done the same way as starting a new mission, just by selecting it from the mission list in the helicopter.

Highest bonus comes if,you fill all tasks at once this includes pretty much everything and is like +150-250k +other bonuses.

Venoms gear is tied up to base devlopment and base devlopment is tied to resources and man power.

You are gonna need fulton whole bunch ppl and resources during missions until youre "maxed"
And wait a loooong time base builds up at later phases.

You'll have to replay several missions if you want to do all the optional objectives, as you won't be able to do many of them until you get stuff you research after the mission.

You can maybe get an S rank on everything the first time, but definitely don't stress over it. Fairly soon you'll get to the point where you can replay them.

I ended up playing through the missions normally, trying to be stealthy, fast, and effective. Some of them I replayed later and really went for speed and ranking, and then once I had an S rank I'd go back for some objectives that I wanted to be able to take my time on. Maybe 2 or 3 missions I relied on things like air support to get the objective, which reduced my max rank to an A. Heck, for the last objective I needed in mission 45, I gave in and used the Lil' chicken hat (given to you if you fail with the chicken hat), because I was getting impatient and wanted to finish. That aid gives you a score of zero, but I got my damn objective. ;)

Keep in mind that your enemies gear up as well though. So if you replay way later the difficulty will be different. For me all the guards have modified weapons and annoying mines at certain spots. Not to forget they can call in a Gunship.
