Huey Emmerich is a psychopath ? [SPOILER ALERT] [DISCUSSION]
Huey Emmerich....
This guy probably the most mysterious person on the TPP. I find it hard to believe him ever since hellbound mission.
Turns out, he did a lot more "unusual things" for a guy with nerdy looks.
Some things are really crazy and even he killed his wife without admitting he did that on purpose.
He also believe that he is the only sane person while all diamond dogs are pitiful human beings with lies everywhere.

Do you think he is a psychopath ? or just pathological liar ?

Probably don't want him to tell venom that he is sick enough to hid a corpse inside the pod.

Or that he made the deal with Cipher that led to the destruction of the original motherbase willingly, to get access to their technological information and funding.

I wouldn't put that past him.

Keep in mind in previous MGS lore, Otacon always talks about how he hated his dad. . .

in MGS 2 otacon pretty much says his dad was a crazy lunatic... i suspected he was pretty shady from the get go, and was upset i didnt get the option to shoot him in the face lol

He's completely without remorse. He killed Strangelove by shutting her in and leaving her to die inside the AI pod and did so because she sent their son away to stop him from using him in his experiments (Which he did, for some reason).

And while he whines at Boss for killing his own men during "Shining Lights, Even in Death", he only does so because Boss is destroying his ticket towards winning back Ciphers favour, because he engineered the events that mutated the Walbachia and caused the second outbreak (Which had apocalyptic ramifications).

Them not killing him makes no sense at all. Ocelot should have used the metallic archaea and dissolved the metal in his legs, leaving him permanently crippled. Then they could have put him in a life boat and sent him off.
The not killing him was for plot reasons, MGS1 2 & 4 wouldn't be possible if huey died, he's a catalyst for the events of those events if he wasn't there to raise Hal/emma things like Rex may not exist in the world so Liquid invasion of Shadow Moses wouldn't have happened & ocelot wouldn't have killed miller & Solid would never have been called back to duty.

Huey's entire characterisation was genius and really well done. I was constantly both despising him for what he had done as well as feeling pity for his nature. There were also a few times I was almost fooled into thinking he was telling the truth, but by (the point where your heroism goes down like a mofo) it is clear he is nothing more than a pathological liar, a demon.

He is the worst demon than skullface or venom, he manipulated those who claim themselves as demon. And he is even able to fooled the player, simply because of his innocent looks.
I guess he is worthy of being called arch demon.

I had just finished PW after playing it for two weeks, then did GZ. Needless to say once I learned of Huey's involvement I got pretty damn angry at him. I actually felt real anger due to me spending two weeks building up MSF only for him to be the catalyst for why it all went nuclear

By the way did they ever explain how Venom and Boss went from being great leaders to....supposedly bad guys?

I think thats the gripe with MGS5's ending, it was made out to sound like it would show Big Boss's fall from grace and his change into the bad guy in Outter Haven. The "missing link" between mgs5 and Metal gear 1 they called it. But nope just explains how "Big Boss" didnt die in Metal Gear 1.

Well, at least he is dead by himself then. It was just like what ocelot predicted, someday he will realized his ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ himself.
Perhaps the day he realized it was the day he drowned himself.

Not just drowning himself,he drowns himself in his own pool because Otacon had a relationship with his stepmother...just to afterwards jump over to his sister.
Gives Otacon´s supposedly sad backstory such a funny undertone.

SPOILERS ahead.

I'm guessing that the phantom Boss becomes the Boss from MG1. It would explain why he becomes a demon moreso than the real Boss; all the ♥♥♥♥ he goes through here in TPP (Shining Lights, Even In Death - child soldier rebellion - Huey's traitorous nature - losing Quiet - etc).

Then the real Boss is in MG2, and is thought to have been killed by Solid Snake, but instead falls into a coma until the events of MGS4...
