The cardboard box is useless

I'm on Mission 22 moving super slow from 40meters out, and I'm detected. What's the point of this thing again?

i can only assume that you are an alt account trolling. i mean i could be wrong but most level 0 steam accounts put off the facade they don't know what they are doing so they can bait in victims like myself. But on the off chance you aren't a troll.. I've rarely been discovered while using a box. The thing to remember is one box won't work for all terrain types. There are lots of boxes and you need to make sure you are using one that matches the terrain.. and that doesn't mean the desert box will work everywhere in afghanistan. there are different terrains in afghanistan. You need to study them yourself and figure out which box is appropriate for the land you are trying to blend into. Also this as most things works better at night for obvious reasons. Lastly if you try to hide in a box while not moving do it outside their patrol and investigate paths. if it's in their planned walking path chances are they will shoot the box. If it's a few feet away from their walking path you are good though.

the cardboard box won't do you any good if you're moving, as long as you are in motion it is useless. The cardboard box purpose was to blend in without moving, wouldn't you wonder why a cardboard box is moving? even at a super slow pace? It helped me during side ops and a lot of times during missions since I use it whenever they are heading to my position and I can't move away because there's no where else to go. You can also use stickers to confuse them such as that vertical glamour girl (stand up) and that Russian soldier. Just make sure you don't end up at the enemy's pathway.

Actually it is explained that even while moving you can blend in with your surroundings in the box. i myself never tried this because i agree with you it just seems like an easy way to get caught. but according to the game it's do-able

When you set profile to private it shows as lvl 0. Nothing to do with alt accounts.

Ah alrigh. i still feel the same about private accounts too though. i never understood why people hide on steam unless it's to keep all the naughty they've been up too under wraps.

I don't know what you mean exactly by "naughty", but that shouldn't consider anyone. Most important thing is VAC ban, which still shows up in profile, even if it's private.

If one is "public profile" trade scammer, he could simply just delete comments or disable them altogether, in that case it doesn't matter if it's public or not.

It's your quickest mode of transportation in a game with massive distances between points of interest. Not useless.

Well they didn't spot me while I was very still after that tranq shot ricochet off the helm and they I was 15m away. I was using a DSRT C. BOX (grade 2) and it helped until I tried to move to the right :(

you cant rely on the box too much. guards eventually become way more aware of things like that. so early game they ignore the box, after w while they start checking it more and more.

Even if they don't spot a richochet they will look in the direction the shot came from. your mistake was moving after shooting. Now again i can't say a moving box is good concealment. i personally think it's a bad idea and have never tried it even once.Kaz or Ocelot. not sure which. but one suggest early game it's possible to blend while moving in a box

I said the cardboard box barely works, and let me add it was at night time, while moving very slowly. It initiated a reflex, where I couldn't hit the guy because he was so far and behind a fence wall, which then initiated an alert. Do you find something wrong with my comment? Because the cardboard box is supposed to be a stealthy option and I was moving at the slowest speed, using an analog stick.

I'm not going to even comment on the rest of your paragraph because you are taking a perfectly appropriate comment and bast ardizing it. Take a break from gaming, you've got issues.

You should actually read it. i gave you the benifet of the doubt and helped with what i know about boxes..in fact,very little of my comment was me calling you anything. i was just saying what it looked like.. but i am not one to judge without knowing.. which is why i still gave you the advice i know about boxes.Really... you should calm down.

It isn't a get out of jail free card. The cardboard box is like a tool, you only get the best use out of it when it is used correctly.
