Kazuhira blind?

So was he blind this whole time? D: i feel so bad for him arm leg and his eyes lost

When we first rescue him, I noticed his eyes are clear. As the game progresses, it does seem more and more like he is losing his eyesight (going by his eye color).

I know there are certain real life conditions that do that, though I don't know the english name for them. In any event, it could be that he is suffering from said condition(s) and as such, his eyesight worsens as time goes by.


It is all the more evident when he gives his speech at the end of chapter one.



But that's just speculation.

THE FF CONTAINS SPOILERS ABOUT SHABANI AND CODE TALKER:No he's not blind, but he does have the same eyes as Shabani, theres a cut scene where Code Talker says to keep your eyes on Kaz, this may be a sign that he might be infected with one of those parasites, but its not the english strain, possibly the japanese strain maybe?

Him being blind kind of makes no sense... As going by the rest of the story of Metal Gear, he becomes the One armed, Blind Drill Sergeant who trains FOXHOUND members in survival.

no, Kaz have daughter in the future, u know what its means

well if he doesn't speak Japanese anymore, then he technically can still have a daughter, since he doesn't need the cure, because for all we know, Kaz may not have known that he had the parasite, so maybe he just chose not to speak japanese anymore once Code Talker tells him that he had the japanese strain?

I don't think snake took the cure, since anyone not speaking the said language does not need it, since the parasite will remain dormant, and will not cause any issues.
as far as I know they're only injecting the cure to people who speaks Kikongo.

i think the easy explination is that his eyes were damaged during toutrue, he just told the boss "no, its just bright is all" because he did not want to upset the boss.
its an illogical thing to do, but hes a bit emotional during the scene.

yeah but, if the host doesn't speak it, then there is zero chance it would spread since theres nothing to trigger the parasites from spreading, take Quiet for example, she had the english strain all along, but did she spread it? no, because she didn't talk, even when she talked with Code Talker in a different language, the parasites did not react at all.
sure everyone can carry it, but not everyone can activate it, you have to speak the language for the parasites to activate and spread, but since Big Boss and Miller doesn't speak Kikongo, they are at no danger even if they are carrying the parasite.
and if what you say is true, considering Miller had a daughter, then what your saying is false since not everyone was injected with the cure, because getting injected with the cure with result for your gentials to no longer develop sperm/egg cells, which makes it completely impossible to create a baby.
