Is there bullet drop in this game?
I've notice I could use the left and right mil to help hit a target since there is a bullet time. However, it seems like there is no bullet drop at all. Is this correct?

When you shoot to target that is beyond weapon range, then bullet start to drop. Said in Tips.

Where can I find the range?

If your reticle is white when aiming at an enemy, they're beyond the range. If red, they're in it.

Easiest way to see this is probably use tranq gun, unupgraded. Beyond like 30-40m you will have to aim above the head to hit it.

Look at the bar in weapon stats?

There is no numerical value to any weapons, just an fyi.

Thanks for the heads up.

It's just odd that I'm able to play snipper, and I don't really have to account for bullet drop yet.

there's bullet travel. Tranq gives you the best hints, at least from my exerpience. Depending on where you hit the sound will be different, course, they have to wear body armor to makes this fully effective.

I think the person was referring to the stats each weapon has, they are viewable in the "weapons customization screen and I belive weapon selection screen".
Don't know if they have bullet travel, haven't really used any new weapons since I got the tranq rifle.

Might have to do some field work to figure that one out. Range out some random targets in the distance and see where the bullet hits from center. It'll at least give you some idea of how to compensate for long shots

that's because snipers have increased range. (bullet velocity is much greater)

You're not firing from far enough distances then.

There's actually Electronic Rangefinding scopes that you'll unlock later to assist with long-distance sniping.

Well, you probably don't sniper from more than 300m away, so not much bullet drop there.

Edit:
Also, there obviously is bullet drop. Again tranq gun. Go for one of the base side ops. Shoot a close target. Shoot a farther target. Shoot a target really far away. You can easily notice the cling takes some time to be heared when shooting at the furthest one.

I hope soon.

Is there an area of the map or something where I can get more distance between me and them?
This is one of the biggest problems I've been finding with games like this.

There's not really any place to actually need to account for bullet drop with sniper rifles, as most of the good spots are within range of your targets during missions.

Well, the map is basically few corridors, some wider some less in between mountains with bases/villages/checkpoints spaced pretty evenly. I would say it is impossible to go over 500m without hitting a checkpoint, at least via road. I would say Africa offers some better range options, but the Afghanistan main base offers few hundred meters too, same as does the desert area to the SW. I would be surprised if you could go and shoot someone from 1km away though. 700m would be pushing it :P

This, basically. The game is more or less built around mid-range sniping. Equipping a long barrel and highpower scope on an AR will net you the same results on at least the lightly armored enemies.
