The D Stands for Dead: D-Dog Complaints Thread
Almost everyone says D-Dog is their favorite buddy, and while his marking ability is very useful, he can also be a real pain in the ♥♥♥. He runs past my field of fire just as I shoot a tranq dart. He wanders around panting and looking happy and unconcerned while people throw grenades at us. He blunders through enemies trying to path his way to my location and blows my cover by shoving them around and making them walk over to us to shoo him away. He's too stupid to get into any vehicle besides a jeep, but he still tries sometimes--just a second ago he paused at the passenger side of a truck I just commandeered, then teleported directly in front of the truck as it took off and promptly vanished. "Bond with D-Dog has decreased"

I've also had him fall into instant-death water in Africa and die, costing me money and making Miller mad at me even though it wasn't my fault. Oh, and how can I forget how often I'll KO him and decrease the bond level because I clip him as I'm diving for cover? What are your worst D-Dog moments?

DD is an animal. even if he is tamed... he still is an animal! Deal witht that... He doesn't have the brain to remove out of your sight all the time;..

Him trying to fetch a grenade although I told him to stay.
Besides shooting him and kicking him a couple of times, nothing major.

He is trying to teach you the true mastery of stealth without any traces, moon-moon way.
But the falling down water in Africa is so true. Happened during the first Africa Mission. I face palmed

he saved me once. i was knocked to the ground by a shotgun wielding maniac, i tried desperately to swipe his feet but i am facing the wrong way! my screen was dark red from the shot i took before i got knocked down, he aims his shotgun at me to finish the job then D-Dog runs up and tackles him to the ground. made my day.

Sleep grenades. I don't know how many times I've tossed a sleep grenade (or 5, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ things detonate too slowly) and he just...stands there getting knocked out. And I lose bond lvl's because of it. <.<

I did, and I am ashamed, but I couldn't remember that it was you

I would like to officially point out that I stole this joke.
I will go and sit in a corner in shame now

I hope you can forgive me

I had the perfect shot lined up once, had the targets face sqaure in the middle...pulled the trigger and I hear "arf!", I look over and D-Dog is ZZZ lol. He moved right in front of the barrel at the last second

He was just trying to catch the pellets from the shotgun and fell on the ai. God forbid you tell it to stay while setting up in a sniping position 5 meters away. In a its mind that must mean make whining noises and deep throat the rifle barrel right before a critical shot.

If only I could mount it like a radar dish backpack thing, maybe then.

I really have never experienced this issue. DD usually just stays at my side while I'm taking, only once did he not and even then I just rolled to the side and he stayed put o.o

D-Dog ALWAYS runs in front of me when I'm about to stun arm someone, like, EVERY TIME!

Even if I have Quiet or the Walker, just *poof* in drops DD just in time to get electrocuted.

Okay that last part isn't true, but for sure that dog must enjoy licking electrical outlets or something.

(edit: Oh and how can I forget the mine clearing missions... Sure he is helpful for spotting them, but not so much when he decides to prance around in front of the one you are attempting to disarm ._. )

I lost the amount of times I kicked DDog while trying to wake up a guard I tranqed 3 minutes ago to interrogate after 25.. I wonder if it's the DDog version of teabagging, no wolf in his own mind would try to hug a incoming speedy kick to enemy that is snoring 5 meters away and teleport himself between the kick and the soldier the kick is aimed at.

At wandering soldier missions it's even worse if you decide to save ammo and go in using CQC.
