The bar under the soldier's portrait?

What is that bar under the Soldier's portrait when you view them in Staff Management? It has a dog emblem next to it, and sit above the "healthy" status.

It's their morale. It goes down when you're in the red (negative GMP) and goes up when they complete combat missions and see Snake walking around the base.

It doesn't really mean much, but it can help you locate people who might be able to abandon you if you spend too much time with negative GMP.

Also quiet drains it while she's active as your buddy apparently. But not to any real noticeable degree. I rarely go near MB now that she's gone but... mod... so tempting.
