I called it a tech demonstration. I didn't mean to imply it was a preview or something for free. It was merely meant in that it was released as a little treat for the people patiently waiting, so they could see what was liked, what wasn't liked and gauge a reaction. I know they made changes to Phantom Pain based on suggestions they collected from it, such as dumpsters and toilets being usable.
But yeah. Small amount of content, lower price to compensate for it, showing off the Fox Engine and getting an idea of what they were doing right/wrong...I'd say that's a tech demo to me.
MGSV had that much to tell.
