WU S.Pistol AP

It's really just a standard WU S.Pistol Grade 4 with more damage.

In the development tree it shows you being able to penetrate, meaning to knock off helmets, but when you unlock it, the penetration stat is zero.

I thought it got the ability to shoot through windows, or at least break them. It's still the best WU pistol regardless of any discrepancies with the armour piercing penetration value though, since the ammo barely beats the tier 2 suppressors durability.

Thanks for checking that though. It's kinda nice to know before I go trying to pop someones visor with it.

not the metalic sheild and armor, but can penetrate ordinary body armors and window glasses.

thinking in commonsensically, did you think gas-anest bullet can penetrate enemy's whole body battle dress, metailic helmet & sheilds?

I can shoot thru gas mask and break glass with lower grade tranq pistols.
Heck the other tranq pistol with semi-auto capabilities, can also do that.

The customize menu (and sortie screen) still says that it has zero penetration. Does it pierce helmets or something? Since I'm using the infinite suppressor version because last time I checked, it didn't pierce a ♥♥♥♥, so no "penetration up" conversion at all. And it's been more than one month since this was noticed, as it seems...

All the AP pistol does is pierce glass, and can break wires. So the only thing you can really do with it is break lights and shoot through truck windows if that's really your thing. The amount of times guards are behind glass is so unlikely that you'll probably never have a chance to use it that way, but, it's cheaper than the infinite suppressor tranquilizer.

It's unfortunate it can't knock off helmets.

The level 2 suppressor lasts for longer than the total ammo you can carry for the WU anyway, so I always roll with the AP version, it's surprising how often it comes in handy.

I believe the point of this thread was to point out the fact that the pistol is broken, since it doesn't show up its characteristics properly. Thanks for letting us know you can read as well :)

Actually it seems like the OP thinks the tranquilizer can knock off helmets (Because that's apparently what "Penetration" means.)

Since the upgrade is called Glass-Piercing, I have to wonder what the op thought it would be when they bought it.

Hmmm I could be wrong but I think Gaz Mask is only cosmetics, anything can go through it's like there is nothing on their faces, only the top of the helmet count, the metal plate
