I don't use fasttravel nor return to ECC because it doesn't collect the prey from my animal traps!
Horse is not my constant companion. D Walker is just as fast and I'm filthy rich in the game so no point of "horsing" around.
I started off using D-Horse to go everywhere but eventually the repetitiveness got to me and I started abusing the return to ACC function, especially for Side Ops. It got so bad eventually I just landed in the red zones and blew places to pieces in order to complete the Side Ops located nearby. Learned my lesson pretty quickly not to try to land in the late game "Destroy the blah blah unit" missions though, lol. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pink helicopters.
I used the cardboard box travel system religiously in Africa. Not so much in Afghanistan though, since the locations they dumped those were usually unfavourable for moving around or staying hidden. It was great for getting to that damn white villa in the jungle in Africa, though.
But yeah mostly I return to ACC and use D-Horse now. D-WALKER too dodgy to use, sometimes it refuses to stop, other times it drifts around like it is drunk.
Also, I'd like to point out how useless the fuel upgrade for the helicopter is. It does not speed up any "enter mission" time, you'll always arrive around 00:16 mission time, even at the highest rank. It pretty much only effects how fast he arrives, the difference between about 00:28 in game minute second things, and 00:11 in game second minute things. For the cost, which goes from 1000 up to 48,000, it's kinda not worth it. Until you've beaten the game and got all the R&D stuff done, anyway. I always kept him on the Rank 3 version that only cost 6000 to summon.
Miller's dumbest comment "You blow up their AntiAir Radar? It wasn't part of the mission ...."
...but it'll put a hole in your heart from my silky voice. Great work!
It's the only way to Travel!
