Raiden Suit Questions...
To those who have unlocked this suit... Is there any actual "utility" to the suit regarding its increase in speed?

How fast is this bad boy actually?

The only thing I can see this being useful for is escaping enemies...

Wouldnt running really fast just make a lot of noise for stealth?

Basically I'm asking what's the use of this for Stealth Missions...

Would there be any benefit of using Unlimited Stealth Camo combined with this Raiden suit unlock? or any combinations?

I heard that the raiden suit disables the Bionic Hand Projectile Functions...

Trying to gather as much info as I can before I decide to make it my goal to get S rank...

So yea...... is Raiden suit actually "useful" outside of its awesome looks... Basically what uses would this increase in speed do for stealth runs...

It is meant for fun. You run/jump x1.5 and as many other items, it prevents you from getting an S. Also yes, like the Solid snake or Gray Fix suits, since you don't really have the prosthetic arm, you cannot use it.

It doesn't seem much faster than your normal sprint speed, with upgraded Bionic Hand, but using it disables the hand. You make as much noise as you would, without a stealth armor. And the running animation is freaking anoying, white lightning/static constantly flashing from your feet when running.
All in all, it looks all right, but it utterly useless. Also, used in missions, it renders you unable to get more than a A rank.

I saw it used in a video, and it runs faster than D-Horse once it hits full speed.

Also this.

But as you mentioned, you already run faster with the arm upgrade (don't know how much faster, just a bit less than with the raiden suit)

Do you have the raiden outfit? I heard it's faster than the gray fox suit.... and faster than the passives?

Yeah, I assume the hand upgrade makes you maybe 25% faster, something like that, so it didn't really feel like much of a boost, when using the suit/costume.

It's faster, yeah. But not by much. I didn't feel it was worth giving up the bonuses from the hand, and the white lightning/static really ruins it for me either way.

The Raiden suit is slower than the arm upgrade?

I didn't say that:
Normal<<<<<<Arm upgrade<Raiden
Not really worth it.

Just for fun try using a different soldier now that you are used to that boost of speed and you'll see how slow his movements seems haha

The suit is a bit faster than the passive upgrade, but using the suit disables the passive upgrade, so you don't feel that it's that much faster than before.

I saw a video where the Raiden suit still lets you use the passive Sonar upgrade....
CapitanTocino Sep 14, 2015 @ 9:57am
it as a use actually , you can outrun a tank , to you can catch them , they will hear you while runing at 10mts from them.
So at that moment they will stop for a second and you will have your chance to fulton them.
Take mission 9 back up and back down , and mission 45 "a quiet exit" as an example.

Source? But I doubt it.
I'm pretty sure it is just the same as the Gray Fox one, which is the one I have experience with

I'll just jump into the game and test that.
Yeah, you can use sonar, and you still get the benefit of passives (picked plant, got 20) - so, while you cannot use your arm, you still have its abilities. It doesn't seem that the sprint speed bonus stacks though.

You can sprint through enemies quickly and knock them down, then turn a quick 180 to hold them up on the ground. But IIRC (not exact) but it's something like 1.2 times speed with upgraded arm, 1.3 as gray fox/ninja and 1.5 as raiden. But you seem to lose more than you gain and it's just for the sheer speed, the jump thing barely affects you though. not with the level design of the game.

So the Raiden and Gray fox suits are different? By tonight I may have the raiden one as well and will share my thoughts haha
