*SPOILERS*
So we are supposed to believe that the real Big Boss is the one who saved them and took them by his side. At least for Frank it HAS to be the real Big Boss since he is with him in MG2.
He took him and Naomi, went through all that trouble, he brought them with him in the US, gave them a "better" life

BUT

Why would Big Boss do that? We've seen that he's a backstabbing prick who sacrifices a hospital, his best soldier and his BEST FRIEND so that he could live his prescious life unharmed. If anything, the one who showed all the signs that could be the one to save them was Venom. He rubbed his mens' ashes on his face FFS!

Who knows? Maybe it was all a ruse, happens in Metal Gear. Maybe Big Boss and Venom went at it for a while and Big Boss sent Solid Snake after him to save Grey Fox.

It was probably all just a ruse though. Venom is likely just Big Boss' body double. And yea, Big Boss pulled more than a couple of ♥♥♥♥ moves in this game.

Kinda made me lose respect for him. I used to watch peace walker and snake eater on youtube all the time. It was like watching an awesome movie. But I can't do that anymore. They took from us all the sympathy and empathy we had for the hero turned evil. I will never again give a ♥♥♥♥ when he kills The Boss to and feel sorry for him after knowing what he's really capable of.

At least Solid Snake exists so that I'll have something good to remember

Thats the thing. Big Boss went bad. We knew that all this time. People have been attributing more respect to him than he really deserves when it is all said and done. He eventually goes on to try nuking people.

Like Solid said in MGS1 about Big Boss...."Some people just need killin".

The point was to see his transition to antagonist.

Big boss didnt take naomi if i remember right , it's grey fox that took care of her.
Big boss found grey fox in portable ops and we didnt hear anything about him after that.

edit: nvm read the wiki and it state that big boss took care of them after all that ><

how much sense does it make that a man who wanted nothing to do with zero cloning him is ok with making another man be him.. in this new story big boss never gos bad he remains a hero but the whole world wants him dead.

Wrong. Frank in MG2 says that he was saved twice by Big Boss. Once in Vietnam and once in Mozambique in the 80s if I'm correct. That's why he's working for him in MG2. Yes Frank was taking care of Naomi and then BB helped them immigrate to US

Not true. Big boss pulls more than a couple of ♥♥♥♥ moves. Like allowing a hospital full of people get slaughtered and making another man his body double without his permission. The fact that it doesn't make sense...is WHY Big Boss is a ♥♥♥♥. He is a hypocrite. Not to mention he goes on to wanting to nuke people.

Please stop saying it's a full circle. This was just one tiny plot hole in comparison with all the rest. Why didn't Venom age in the 10 year span we see during the last scene when he breaks the mirror? Why didn't Solid Snake realize he killed someone else since the real BB never had a metal hand and a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ shrapnel in his head and looked like he was 45 although he's supposed to be old and have gray hair. If hypnotherapy is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome, why even bother with Les enfants terribles? And many many more that I just want to stop thinking about

Because you are looking for reasons why you don't like the ending. Solid Snake didn't even realize he was a clone until the end of MGS1. You are explaining your view through confirmation bias.

It makes sense. Just as much as any other plot hole in MGS. And hypnotherapy is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome...where do you think Ocelot got the idea to Hypnotize himself as Liquid?

according to MGS 4 ending all of you guys are wrong? however either you are right or wrong, this game was a mess it made me to feel like i wish i never had played any MGS game if it was supposed to end like this. message of this game is to say YOU are the hero not solid snake not big boss NO ONE it is YOU. thats why you create your own identity before game even starts...

but what i hate so much about this game is there is no way to replay missions (gold side ops) or re-watch the cutscens of these missions again.... this game was a waste for me, i don't like playing side ops without Quiet, this game is just so quiet without quiet

You are right about nobody being a cut and dried hero. But that is basically what I said earlier. It isn't really a mess any more than any other MGS.

Seems to me you are just mad because Quiet didn't stick around.

Looking for reasons not to like the ending? Stop being such a smartass by accusing me with logical fallacies. The game is indeed unfinished. So yeah, the ending is ♥♥♥♥. The plot was ♥♥♥♥. No build up no climax, we get a generic villain, Skull Face, whose plan made no sense and you couldn't get attached to him either. And you want to tell me that you enjoyed they pulled another MGS2 again? You ENJOYED the fact that all those badass things you did wasn't Big Boss but just a medic? Who happens to be the best soldier in the world and instead of having his own army making milions, he's just a medic? Not even an infiltrator with Big Boss? A character who I've never known and now he's supposed to be Big Boss? And don't give me that "YOU are Big Boss" bullcrap. I never asked to be Big Boss, there's only one Big Boss. It was supposed to be a sad story about a hero gone villain. And we get this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

The ending was bad due to production cuts, Kojima spending too much and Konami not giving a ♥♥♥♥ about quality but wanted to meet the deadlines. There's another mission you can find on YT, mission 51 that was cut out because of this and also it was supposed to be 3 chapter. Which would make sense. If the game had only two parts, they's refer to them as Part 1, Part 2. Chapter is something bigger. You never read a book with two chapters
