Very useful info, thank you sir!

Some additional tips for using this method:

1) Hit ESC, go to "Options", then "Game Options" and turn Reflex Mode OFF. This alone will net you an extra 10k each run and you don't need Reflex Mode at ALL for this.

2) Just shoot the three dishes; not killing anyone gives you an extra 5k each run.

3) Go in at 1800 to reduce the chances of you being spotted (enemies will notice the helicopter, but usually won't pay attention to you unless you're going Rambo on the gun or just get unlucky); this will usually, in combination with #2 give you the "Perfect Stealth, No Kills" bonus for an extra 20k. This is a cheap, but effective, means of getting your "Foxhound" emblem as well.

4) Go ahead and fully armor the helicopter; you aren't going to be calling it in for the mission and won't be charged anything for all the extras it has equipped. If you're not killing people, you may want the added armor.

5) You can use this same setup for doing C2W on Subsistence mode as well for some extra GMP until you wear it out with repeated runs, but note that it is impossible to get the Perfect Stealth Bonus here; there's a sniper who will spot you every time.

They always spott me. So no idea how you can do it without getting spotted.

They always spott me. So no idea how you can do it without getting spotted.

You have to play it slow and hold up guards instead of simply knocking them out or killing them. I was able to do it, I'll try and upload a video of it somewhere if anyone's interested, if nothing else I'll stream it and highlight it on twitch.

Ah, I was talking about the helicopter part. I thought he does it with the helicopter...

It's probably worth a mention that you can set your Fultons to rank 1 and save another 3k on deployment. With the S rank you'll be getting a good little chunk of GMP as well.

Y'know, it just occurred to me; on normal, I wear a balaclava and maybe that's why I don't usually get spotted, but on Subsistence I can't wear it (since you can't equip any gear) and get spotted by the sniper every time. I'll have to test that, but in the meantime, try throwing a balaclava on.

Edit: Tested this out, even without wearing a balaclava, I don't get spotted while doing Mission 4 (I get spotted every time doing Mission 32 though, which is Subsistence Mode). Make sure you're not drawing attention to yourself by hitting the soldiers; just shoot the three dishes (wait a few seconds for the first dish to line up so that you're not shooting the guy with the searchlight too) and wait for the mission to finish.

Wow Okay so this post helped me so much. At this point it's 2 years old this point but, so if you want an S rank on SUBSISTENCE C2W

  • Do as above and shoot the first dish that comes in view, but only after the guard with the spotlight gets out of the way (as the heliccopter moves forward).
  • Immediately after line up with the next dish and destroy it. TRY TO DESTROY ALL 3 BEFORE THE HELICOPTER FULLY PASSES THROUGH THE ENEMY CAMP.
  • As soon as you hit the last dish, let go of the battling gun and slide backwards to the other side of the helicopter (to the other door) and do not move.

If you are sitting at the other door and aren't firing anymore, the sniper shouldn't see you. Do it quickly enough and you might not even get hit.

Uhh..... Yeah, don't necro 2 year old posts. It's easier to have a discussion on new posts because none of these people are relevant 2 years later.

Although, I don't S rank that way. I just go get the nades in the shack and toss them.

It's not the relevance of the people that matter, it's the information and the info is still relevant; why bother making a new thread on something that already exists and is still relevant?

its not relevant after 2 years. everyone and their mother does already know that. and you'll get s-rank always due to time, despite of possible combat alert.

Because that's the way people in the MGSV forums prefer it. Mostly due to having many releases and many people who no longer play. If you wish to discuss something, post it as a new thread unless you see it in the first 2-3 pages. Otherwise, leave a dead post dead. Why. Just because that is what they (the people here) prefer. Most everyone who is here on a regular basis will tell you DO NOT NECRO 2 YEAR OLD POSTS. Either abide by the wishes of those here or be scolded every time you necro post.
