Where the heck is the Cybernetics Specialist?

Every guide on the internet insists that on mission 9 (2nd worst mission in any game i've played) the stupid prisoner is on a path west of outpost 15. I've looked there 3 times, and that useless POW is a freaking Surgeon. It seems that only ONE person in the entire world other than me, who has this same problem, and there still isn't any answer as to where the specialist is. I've checked the prisoners in the middle of the desert, the prisoner by the river, and the prisoner in the transport truck, with no avail.

Are there ANY other locations for that damn specialist? Or is the game just bugged to the point of no return?

Since I never mentioned it, I found the prisoner who possessed the skill in the Wakh Sind barracks, in the same location who developed Snakes robotic arm, a few missions from before.

But really, he's east of southwest encampment in a small ravine, followed by 4 soldiers. Dog helps a lot tho

If I remember right, it isn't the prisoner himself who is it, it's one of the guards trailing him.

I already checked there, that was the location I was talking about where I said I came back 3 times, to find that the prisoner's skill was a useless surgeon.

God i'll have to play this 15 minute mission again. I'll try this out, I can live without having 100 surgeons at motherbase.

Just checked the location again, none of the 4 soldiers or the prisoner inherited the Cybernetics specialist skill. Screw this mission.

Had same problem, if you extract these prisoners and have auto assign on then try to look for him among your staff, mine was in combat unit lol

Could you post some screenshots of you using your int-scope on the prisoner and the guards to see what their skills are?

Sorry, didn't see this post until now. I actually just got the Cybernetics Specialist, he was in the freaking Wakh Sind barracks, where you find the other arm specialist some missions beforehand. I guess some people (or 98% of the playerbase) was able to find the prisoner west of outpost 15.

To vent my frustration, I had also managed to kill enough soldiers to reach full demon level, probably from all the killing. So basically, my search for the stupid specialist was a success, but I reached full demon..

That's okay. You can replay the mission, and he should still have the same skill. You can still take a screenshot.

I'm not really sure if I want to replay the mission yet again. Do you want me to find the specialist again, because you're having troubles finding him also? Cause if thats not the case, then i'm pretty much done touching mission 9 for a long time.

I think you were just looking in the wrong place until someone pointed out the correct location, hence why I asked for screenshots.

Trust me, I looked at the internet guides beforehand, and they pointed me to that exact location where you were in that screenshot. I assure you, the prisoner who had the Cybernetic specialist skill was located in the Wakh Sind barracks in my game. I should've taken a screenshot to prove it, but I already found the prisoner, so I don't think it will help anyone else.

What's stopping you?

I don't feel like loading the game and playing the mission again, just so I can show you where prisoner might be. Why exactly do you want to know where the prisoner is on my file? Are you having the same issues as me?
