How to make Quiet stop shooting?
I think I've only seen "attack" and "QUIET" when I hold down Q to give her orders.
Chosing "quiet" does nothing, at least it does not stop her from shooting.

She has really ruined a few good personel extractions for me -.-, making her useless. DD is, at the moment, a better companion.

You can tell her to shoot or to cover you, in which case she starts shooting if you are being attacked. While she is doing so, you can tell her to stop covering you as well.

And yes, she's killed A LOT of interesting soldiers I wanted haha

She will only fire without command when you are spotted so...
Also you can give her a dart sniper

Make sure to get a high bond with her to make her really useful, at the beginning there are too few commands.

Raise her bonding lvl you will get some commands like cease fire and cover fire. Quite is quite OP for companion.

You can tell her to not cover you once you have more bond.

"Cease fire"

Either send her to scout another outpost while you do what you need to do, or give her a tranq sniper.

She will only shoot at people who have spotted you, unless you tell her to "Cover Me" which is fire at will, so CQC them from behind.

Also the Quiet command just makes her look at you, and give you a thumbs up... helps to raise the bond I think.

She is OP, she can mark all enemies. Just for that!
Nice to know that will be more commands when bond is high.
I also notice you can make a sniper weapon with suppressor on it for her. Which will make her very usefull to put enemies down without alarming!

Get her bond-level to 20% (two emblems) and develop 'Guilty Butterfly'. She will never ruin your extractions with that rifle.

Note that she only starts shooting on her own if you screw up (get spotted), basically (unless you tell her to cover you or fire beforehand).

At very low bond levels Quiet will pop people the instant you're spotted, rather than waiting for reflex mode to end or giving you a second or two to tranq them first.

Even at mid-levels she still jumps the gun a fair bit. So many times where I've had her fire the unsuppressed tranq sniper while I'm mid CQC on the guy. Which then causes an alert.

And that right there is why I avoided using her much until I unlocked the suppressed one. Seem to recall I got bond up by grinding an easy mission I could perfect stealth with no effort.

I have never had her do that. Even on lowest bond-level she was passive unless I got spotted (reflex-mode doesn't count). She will not wait for the alert, but as soon as alert is at least going to happen anyway she will shoot. At this point it was your personal screw-up. If you play flawless, Quiet will not walk out of the line.

And again... at bond-level 20 it doesn't matter anymore, because of Guilty Butterfly. There's literally no reason to give her a different weapon once she can have that.

I ground out bond levels via side ops, myself. I wound up using DD on most missions, up until I got the level 2 sonar, at which point I retired DD for being way too good. In-built wallhacks, pretty much.

I'll clarify: she regularly popped people I was CQCing during reflex. I've never had her shoot someone when they were just peeping with a flashlight or following some footsteps.

First time I deployed with her she brought an abrupt end to my no-kill commitment by blowing the brains out of someone I just tranq'd. Her laser did the 'zeroing in' movement while the dart was in flight.
