Deployment Costs and Options
Is there any way to exit the ACC without having to pay for your entire layout each time?
Even if I don't use a single item or fire a single shot, I have to pay for THE ENTIRE loadout each time I use the chopper. When the game already charges for the helicopter just to appear in the first place, making you pay for your entire loadout again is both not fair and not fun.

Kojipro, please...

1. Allow players to use the helicopter but skip the Deployment screen entirely if they want.
2. Setup the Deployment menu to only make players pay for items and ammo they have used and need refreshed.

If I enter the Helicopter with as much ammo and items as I deployed with and deploy with the same gear again, my deployment costs should be 0.

When you are done with a mission, for example, in the open world. Just pause the game and select 'Return to ACC' to cut down on chopper rides. I think that side steps the cost. Other than that, take off nay upgrades you have made for the chopper and alter your loadout for efficient spending. You can't side step the resource management.

Returning to ACC via menu is free, yes, but you still always have to pay the full cost of your loadout every time you leave your helicopter even if you boarded the chopper with literally 100% of your previous loadout unused.

Yup, that is how it rolls man. You get more than enough resources to make this a non-issue realy.

Everytime i use the "return to ACC" option i seem to lose a bit of Heroism, maybe that's the tradeoff.

Actually, it never becomes a non-issue. Deployment costs get really high really fast. Before too long you can easily deploy for something like 20-25,000 GMP and a bunch of minerals a pop, and you can just as easily go through half a dozen deployments only firing a few bullets here and there and using nothing else.

It feels like a really obvious oversight in design and it's extremely annoying every time it happens, and it feels like players are actively punished for playing the least bit conservatively.

It is the way you are playing man. Don't use the chopper to go everywhere. Bring your horse and hit up missions that are clustered together. If you are spenidng that much you have a ton of upgrades on your chopper that you don't really need. Not to mention you can alter you loadout to bring the cost down. You have to balance your kit and resource costs. I have barely paid attention to it and it has never been an issue for me.

I know it can be annoying to have to pay for full loadout every time rather than just replacing what you used, but I would like an option where I just hitch a ride for the purpose of relocating.

Let them drop a vehicle for you in.
