It feels like a really obvious oversight in design and it's extremely annoying every time it happens, and it feels like players are actively punished for playing the least bit conservatively.
idk i'm almost 100 hours in and somehow have 2000-3000 of each plant and 200k unprocessed minerals, i can keep selling those minerals for max cash whenever i need.
It is the way you are playing man. Don't use the chopper to go everywhere. Bring your horse and hit up missions that are clustered together. If you are spenidng that much you have a ton of upgrades on your chopper that you don't really need. Not to mention you can alter you loadout to bring the cost down. You have to balance your kit and resource costs. I have barely paid attention to it and it has never been an issue for me.
Let them drop a vehicle for you in.
