Is it me or is MGS V PP really boring?!

Right i've been playing this game for about 6-7hours and i'm already finding it rather boring. Plus the fact that i don't understand the motherbase nonsense is probably not helping.

Travelling from place to place is tedious and when u get there its just the same thing over and over. Take out the outpost, go and rummage through a few huts and find what you are looking for and thats it.

When does it get interesting and gives you some decent weapons so you can actually plan an attack the way you want.

Yes it's a boring game. Now that you know it. Can you leave this forum and this community and never come back again ? Nobody will be bored by it.

Let me see if you like the genres used in this game:
Do you like the Far Cry series (3/4 in particular)?
Do you like Splinter Cell?

If you answered no to either of these, this game simply isn't for you.

I think the start of the game can be pretty off putting for some, until you are actually deploying to places. Also I noticed Supertrooper was in here so I knew it was an official thread I had to post in.

I loved Far Cry(amazing for its time), Far Cry 2 was crap. 3 was decent. Didn't bother with 4.
Never played Splinter Cell.

I think i've hit bordom with it too. The progression is too slow, and the story is almost non-existent. Gotta spend hours just to unlock a new tier of R&D just to hopefully get better equipment one day.

It can be fun, but its turning into a chore. I would never of imagined the Metal Gear games turning into something like this.

Avarice85 I agree.
The game plays great but progression is slow so those of us who have short attention spans find it gets really boring quickly because nothing changes for hours so u quickly lose interest.

Well I'm with you... Motherbase sections really dragged me outta the game... TBH I thought that some of the missions could have done with being cut. The cutscenes are amazing and the story is MGS (great).

For one, serious necro. Second Play MGS:PW, the one just before this one and GZ and inspired the mechanics and such. More things to do at Motherbase was one of the more requested features of the sequal of that one people have been waiting for since it came out in 2010.

Finally picked it up on PC and started playing again, and wow I still love it.

First time playing was on xbox now I'm on my pc run and i love it even more. this definitely isn't a game for everyone though. I can see how it feels slow sometimes but its unavoidable because of the stealth open world combo, I also get it can feel grindy but if i didn't have that extra stuff to do it would feel empty. personally I love the pace, love the story, and love the grind, the best thing is just throwing on my in game music tapes and sneaking my way through the game lol.

Really this whole "you need a high IQ to enjoy this game" arguments are really dumb.

You can only enjoy the game you are playing only if you like the genre of it.
