Probably, I remember having mission 46 before quiet left me, but i did her missions first...

I remember something like that (on ps4), but I thought I may have gotten 46 before 45 because I thought you get a yellow sideop to find quiet and then after you finish that op it automatically transitions to the mission 45.

edit: and for me I decided to the the missions in order, and I didn't know about losing quiet till it was too late - I decided not to do any research or anything regarding MGSV so I wouldn't get spoiled.

You get to choose to play as your Avatar when you do FOB.
In the character selection it's a black character slot with the word 'AVATAR'. When you respawn in FOB.

So after getting the true ending and finding out your real identity, your Avatar becomes available to be selected in the character list... As a 'blacked out' slot with the word avatar on it. He likely has the same stat as Snake so the 'stats' window is blacked out.

Also as you beat the game when you get access to the avatar you created you will be able to chose him as character, and from my experience he will be named the same name you put in at the beginning mission when it asked for a name, and birthday.

it's at 80% ish, but there seems to be no indicator that you'll get the non-bionic man. I did S rank every mission however.

No. I did all regular missions and skipped 45, because I hardlocked quiet onto my team with the butterfly emblem, and still got and beat the final mission without having to do all the bonus ones.
