How do you make Quiet be... Quiet?

Maybe wait for a mod. Although in retrospect, I'd find the game too quiet without her, so it might grow on you.

is my game somehow glitched? i never hear her hum unless i'm within 10 feet of her, if i make her scout all i get is this horrible radio sound that sounds like somebody playing a trumpet with their butt

For all you people complaining about a very minor thing, just listen to music on your casette tape while you raid. Or...set quiet to cover fire, she'll go from base to base and just start shooting people. If you dont want her to kill everyone, get her the silenced tranq rifle. Comes a bit later. You'll never have to hear her humming again.

Those saying she is useles and annoying have no idea how to use her. When I deploy with Quiet, everyone is down and out within minutes and no one is even alerted.

If you knew how to use her and have levelled her up properly, you would know that she hums when she has a target in sight. Take out all the enemy (kill / stun / zzz, your choice) and she wont be humming because there are no targets for her - either you do the killing / tranqing or stunning or let her do the killing or tranqualising. EASY.

She is great (the best imo) and people moaning should learn to utilise her effectivley. Give her a tranq sniper with a suppressor and your job is already pretty much complete. Quiet over DD for me any day, havent come to a point where I wished I had DD instead.

She can scout ahead, you can command her to take attack position, and she can cover you like a fkn boss, seriously, she will clear camps and outposts out without them even knowing before you even get there!! The dog is a liability and doesnt have a sniper rifle. Also, she negates the need to carry a rifle of your own so you can switch it out for something else. Just my 2 cents, hope it helps.
