Mission 29 with quiet help

Well I dont know how I managed it, I accidentally started that mission with quiet as a buddy and when the mission title showed up with 29 I was shocked and alt f4'ed the crap out of it.
I had read the warnings about the save file getting corrupted if you select quiet on mission 29 or some mission in the 40's, still managed to screw up.

Is there any safe way to get out of the mission and back to ACC without the game saving? I tried to restart the game and it just made me continue and apparently would have started the mission right away. Will I just have to wait for fix or is my save file doomed already :(?
Unless ofcourse its been fixed already but I've yet to see anyone mention that. Help would be much appreciated as I would love to beat this game this year.

I'm certain you can use the iDroid to call in a different buddy. I don't know how that translates to save corruption, though.

Thanks for the help. I decided to just start the mission and return to ACC as soon as possible to change my buddy. It worked and have not noticed anything getting corrupted. If anyone else finds themselves in this situation you might want to try what I did. Now on to play some more MGS!

Well, i didn't know about that issue and started the mission with Quiet. My save file is fine, but i couldn't finish that mission with Quiet, because high firepower is needed, which Quiet can't provide. I used D-walker instead.

Did the missions with her long before the save corruption was announced, never had any problems. It probably varies from person to person for whatever reason.
