Keeping Quiet, Butterfly-emblems and recovery...
Okay, so I heard about how you'd eventually lose Quiet for good, unless you had the Butterfly on your emblem, in which case you'd keep her but the final mission of her arc would be technically incomplete, so you wouldn't trigger the final mission. I still went ahead and changed my emblem, figuring that I'd just enjoy keeping her around untill I'd done EVERYTHING else, and then replay her final mission without it, presumably losing her in the process. (I assume you could do that, right?)

But now I hear that a recent patch made it possible to recover her after losing her by replaying the mission where you first acquire her 7 times using nonlethal methods... or something like that. With that in mind, is there really any point in using the 'Butterfly Emblem' trick to retain her? The smart way to go is, presumably, to let her leave in Mission 49, triggering the final Mission 50, and then reclaiming her after you completed Mission 50... or am I missing something?

No really, I have kept the emblem and complete mission 46 to 50. You lose her by doing side ops 150 which automatically trigger mission 45, which can be triggered by removing the butterfly front emblem, and if you complete mission 45 and then she's gone as a buddy for the rest of the game.

But recent patch allow user to regain her as buddy by doing mission 11 for 7 times (easter egg), I've do it exactly 7 times but using a stun grenade launcher aka non-lethal weapon, each fight were less than 2 minutes not accounting for waiting for the chopper and cutscenes etc.

A'ight, that's what I figured... I couldn't remember the exact mission-numbers, but basically, there really doesn't seem to be any point in preventing her disappearance anymore, since doing so stops you from completing a mission... and you can just get her back, anyway. Interesting idea about the stun-grenade launcher - I'd just figured on using the 'air-drop' technique, but yours sounds faster. :nuke:

Uploading video in 10 minutes, fight averaging 1 minute 20 sec. Worked everytime.

I'm using the same trick everytime, she seems to jump to the same spot.

Yes, don't kill her at the end, and you can skip the cutscenes even the reunion one since there isn't any hidden cutscene at all.
