METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN

Tips for using Quiet?
I haven't had Quiet as a buddy for very long but so far she seems like complete and utter ♥♥♥♥. I tell her to scout out an area and she scouts like half of it and completely ignores the other side. I tell her to go to a sniping position to "attack", which so far I haven't been able to figure out what that even does, because she sure isn't attacking. Whenever I tell her to shoot an enemy it takes her like 10 seconds to do so and usually misses while also alerting everyone.

People keep saying she's overpowered but I'm just not seeing it. Had a much better time with D-dog, at least he would actually mark everything.

When you send her to scout you have to be aware that she might not have seen everyone, not like DDog who can smell everything within 200 meters. You also have to be aware that after you give her the order to fire that the target is not going to move out of her LoS. When she has a target she will hum to let you know and that target will be highlited but not marked so you can then properly mark the guy yourself.

She is very powerful once you get used to her quirks and the best thing to do is give her a suppressed rifle.

bond level is very important, before 80%, she might not listen to your order.
as control Quiet, I can give you some advice

1. scout timing need to wait enemy move out of building
when you enter some mission area, enemy might not show up yet
need to wait like 30 seconds
so, I always let her scout more than once

2. scout point means, she will run circle around it to scout,
attack point means, where you want her stand
but she might try to get close you, so before you not give her command [cover me]
she will always keep move between attack points, depend on where you stand.

3.command, ask her cover me[Q+4], means shoot on enemy who is close you
if the [Q+2] is only shoot this enemy, but you will need to check if her angle can shoot
if it's inside building or behide wall, than she can't not do it,
she might need to move to other attack point to do it.
and she only shoot on head, enemy has helmet will take her very long time to take care.

as how powerful is she, when you land on LZ, give her order [cover me]
than slow walk to some side op area (do not run too fast)
just get some food or popcorn to eat and wait

too bad, we can't take DD and Quiet at same time.
one handle enemy to zzz, one use fulton
and we can not dismiss soliders from Brig
or, it will be very helpful, when you have meal to watch them take down some big outpost

And sometimes she drops supplies too if you order her to scout. And I even test her to the limit. Try mission 36 total stealth, have her scout the target area, and once she is done just order "cover me", she handle everything on her own where she took out the entire base with the .50, the silencer butterfly wont be as effective as it couldnt one shot those iron man. The only thing I've done in that map is walk into the target area and extract the 4 walkers lol.

Still luck dependant, the only thing that got her is the mortals. Just to make sure eveything go as planned you could one shot the mortal guys with sniper.

She is OP. She single handedly kills everyone in a base for me.
gave her a traq rifle, could not get close to enemies before she puts them to sleep

Shes good for scouting long distances and tranqing early game soldiers. Once the soldiers start getting armour and helmets shes pretty much useless other than being a distraction. I play non lethal so traqing was my best shot with her. I've moved back to DDog and his stun suit. DDog can do pretty much everything that quiet does, but is more prone to danger as hes on field directly.
