MGS V on Mac
Hello, everybody. I have been a fan of the Metal Gear series from the very start and now I am in a bit of a tough position. I still haven't played MGS V and can't because I use a Mac (it's what I own, can't afford anything else). Is there anyway to play the game without using boot camp? Or should I save up to buy a console?

Much appreciated.

I really doubt this will be on mac any time soon, probably not at all. You could use bootcamp, but I wouldn't reccomend it because your mac may not even have the speccs to run the game. If you really want to play this, the only real way would be to get a better computer or Buy a console (personally I'd reccomend the former but thats just my opinion)

We could be happy that this game is even on Windows and you want Mac?
Maybe you'll get a big mac from McDonald's

MAC? Pssshhhh, buy a REAL computer. PC Windows is the way to go. Who uses MAC anyway? U know what, MGS5 is a well optimized game for PC, you dont need an expensive powerful PC to run it. A 150-250 US$ budget could run it in default settings.

console only

It's what I have. I seriously can't afford anything else.

If you can afford a next gen console, you could afford to build your own pc, especially if you sell the mac

I really doubt Konami will develope a version that is Mac compatible. Many companies just outsource the development of a Mac compatible port as it is. And if you are using anything but the most expensive Mac Book Pro, or a high-end iMac, don't even bother trying. Actually, I can't recommend either because Apple doesn't seem to care about thermal performance and you may just end up cooking it to death.

My advice: Save up enough money to buy a powerful gaming computer. I would spend no more than $2,000.

It's a pretty powerful computer. Picked it up from a friend who won it, but didn't want it. Would Wine/Wine Bottler work?

Unless it has a dedicated graphics card, you'll have a hard time even making it past the startup screen.

It's able to run all games I've played on it. New and old.

Well to be fair, lookign at your games list shows that most games you play don't require much power

Just beause new games can run does not mean that it should be able to run on your Mac. I'm going to need a LOT more in terms of system specifications.

Ok, you didn't buy the Mac yourself. Netherless you should sell it asap if you plan to game in this generation.

Not trying to harp on you further but your most demanding game according to your profile is borderlands 2 and that came out 3 years ago. (Not really considered next gen in my book). What are you specs?
