Or you could buy an used PS2 for 10€ and hook it up on your old SDTV.
PCSX2 is horrible for emulation, just dreadful. The amount of sound problems, slowdowns, clock speed requirements, etc, etc makes it a no-go. It also lacks proper post-processing effects.
Obviously the HD collection for the PS3 is better, but a Steam re-release for 20-30€ would make a whole lot of sense. They established their market here with GZ and TPP.
If thats the case....screw emulators.
Just might want to find the thread that is asking for the collection and post there.
I imagine if you're desperate a ps3 is probably quite cheap now.
All the MGS games but 3, peace walker, and 4 are on PC. You can play PW and 3 with a emulator, as well as all the other little offshoot games. The only game you cant play on PC is 4.
Right Now: With a PC that can play MGSV well you can play any MGS game ever created in the highest quality available and best controls with the sole exception of MGS 4 GOP because PS3 emulation is still in its infancy, and wouldn't you know it? PS3 emulation just got a massive bump for anyone with a DX12 capable card: http://www.eteknix.com/latest-playstation-3-emulation-looks-promising/ so in due time that may change.
Those claiming that PCSX2 is a bad emulator simply didn't take the handful of minutes to check the compatibility page with suggestions to get the optimum accuracy and smoothness of emulation.
Here are the MG games running on my medium-grade rig at ~60 FPS:

The sole downside of some of them being that some of the textures were low quality so look gnarly scaled up to 1440p.
