Questions About FOB/PvP

Do I need to have an FOB at all to play the single player game to completion? Also, can I have all Motherbase upgrades and do all upgrades with only having the Motherbase? I don't care/want to do online because of all the cheating garbage that goes on and I don't want to lose the people and items I acquire during single player. Thanks.

u dont need an fob to complete single player mode. only drawback is u may have to go staff hunting a lot to find high rank staff enough to level ur teams up to dev certain items.

edit: even then i dont think its possible to hit high levels past 50 or 60 without FOB1

They basically built the game so it's impossible to develop everything without dealing with FOBs. If you are not interested in getting invaded though I have good news for you. Between the advent of "Security Challenges" and the fact that you're a fresh face to the Espionage ranking scene, you probably will never get invaded until the day you die and beyond, as long as you don't invade others or come to people's defense. Avoid interacting with the FOB altogether and you'll be basically left alone forever. You can go ahead and build as many FOBs as you like, expand them fill them up, and you'll likely never get invaded. Hell, I'm rank 202 and have level 49 bases, and I still barely get invaded these days. And at the end of the day if you REALLY want to play it safe, you can always backup your save file when you log out for the day, then when you log back in sometime later if you got invaded and lost a lot of important stuff, you can always save and quit, and restore the backed up save file. It'll return all your stuff to you.

being low rank and low risk of invasion is true. 90% of the hackers who cheat on fob invasions dont understand how it works. they think invading high rank players = more esp score when it doesnt at all. its the fob level + timer that increase the score. not the players personal esp rank

i wish the hackers that attack me on a daily basis knew that
