What happens to him after you bring him back to mother base? I assumed from the trailers where soldiers in motherbase are on fire in the quarantine platorm is becuase he woke up and started destroying ♥♥♥♥. but noooo. He just dissapears and is nowhere to be seen for the rest of the game

Wtf happened??? Was his thirst for revenge satisfied by the warm salty seychells waters?

But you can find his body on Quarantine Platform, if I remember well

after Skull Face is dead the thirst for revenge is satisfied, but phantom pain remains. Man on Fire was controled by Floating Boy who was under will of Skull Face, at least before he met Eli, then Eli didn't know about Volgin's thirst for revenge and didn't use that one. Skull Face did knew what happened on operation Snake Eater so I assume that's why he used Man on Fire.

my regret is that Venom managed to kill Skull Face and ruin his plan

Okay, here's the thing: He wasn't dead after Snake Eater. He was in a coma with severe burns over his body (severe as in fell inside lava severe).

What brought him back was a mix of his lust for revenge plus the boy's ability to mind control people/things.

Being crushed by Sahelantropus (however you spell that ♥♥♥♥, I will never know) did not kill him.
BUT, since mantis turned all his powers to Eli, he went back to a coma. (Mantis is attracted by strong feelings, and no feelings were as strong as Eli's hatred for Big Boss).


And yes, his body can be found in the quarentine platform after the side ops to extract him. Whatever happened in that side ops is to anyone to guess.
My best guess is that Volgin noticed Venon wasn't the same Snake that made this to him, so his hatred for Venom vanished, as it was misplaced

The guy in hells lab was able to overcome the hatred for BB until he died seconds later, which Mantis then started up Volgin.

If you use NVG on Volgin's corpse, his body is still warm.

Yeah... no.

NVG actually highlight objects of interest. Includind cracks on rocks, and wood ladders.
It has nothing to do with actual thermals.

NVG is basically the excuse to add Assassin's creed eagle vision in the game.

I think the Man on fire can actually still be used, but isn't as a result of Eli (the new host) not wanting anything to do with him. When I read more about the Third child and how his power actually works, it makes sense to see it as him moving to a new host if said new host has even stronger emotions or thirst for revenge. That's why the Man on fire freezes temporarily during Mission 20 at the Devil's House as the third child tests Shibani to see if he was more worthy than Skull face.

The Man on fire and Skull face essentially get ditched for Eli, who ended up having even stronger emotions and thirst for revenge (which is what the third child feeds on in exchange for offering his power to the host). I still think the man on fire could be used again if Eli wanted, but clearly he doesn't want to for whatever reason. I'm not sure the absolute extent of the body's "immortality," but the fact that it's still intact on the quarantine platform should be enough of a clue that it could be used again.
