Side ops and fultons
You gain heroism points by capturing enemy outposts, though high heroism points may affect the quality of volunteers soldiers you are getting, and there's some achievement for it. When it is high enough you can invade all fobs which include player with nuclear deterrent.
You can collect materials to develope your base or weapons later in the game.
You can fulton soldiers on the field and recruit them to join your force.
Save animals, some point in the game you get to built an animal platform.
Fulton vehicles or weapon emplacement, you can sell them for some gmp, or use it later in fob.
Collect flowers which is needed to develope some weapons or items.
Doing side-ops to earn gmp.
Also, good for you. I heard there are little to none cheaters on console.
That option is the exact same as entering Free Roam through the Side OP page. There is no difference.
