Also if an air base get attacked by an enemy ground force, having camouflaged planes and helicopters will make them harder to get het while on the ground. Also some camouflages are used to hide flying planes from enemy ground forces. for example most soviet planes and helicopters have their bottom's painted sky blue, to make them blend in with the sky when seen from the ground.
