Any Point in Keeping Walker Gears?

First of all, I play offline with an older version of the game (pre-1.04), so none of my resources or GMP have been transferred to online-only. I still have full access to GMP, vehicles, resources, gun emplacements, etc.

That being said, is there any point in acquiring a surplus of vehicles, gun emplacements, and walker gears? I know the Deployment Missions occasionally require vehicles, so I need to keep at least a couple of a each type. Do they serve any purpose on the FOB? Are the walker gears ever used in deployment missions?

i know for a fact walker gears are used in some combat dispatch missions , and they are the top end difficulty so expect to lose the odd one.

yea theyre mainly used for deployment missions. If you dont have them you cant do them. They usually have high rewards too. That said, I dont see any reason to have more than say 4 or so, can always get more if you get them blown up in the mission but as long as you keep your win loss ratio maxed out its a low chance of happening.

You need Walker Gears for some dispatch missions, but apart from that nothing else.

Ive actually never tried, but you should be able to deploy with one too if you wanted as a vehicle, in addition to a buddy.

you can't deploy with them and once you complete all dispatch missions requiring them, their only use is for selling.
