I don't care she's in a bikini, its just the reason is so odd, and the pantyhose make no sense - well that and its a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ugly ouitfit. Women clearly have no need for excuses to run around mostly naked, they do it all the time. A little camo green leotard with her ass hanging out would have been my choice.

"pantyhose" are the only part of the outfit that actually make sense. they're similar to compression stockings used by snipers to keep good bloodflow through legs when they have to remain motionless for hours.

The reason isn't odd... she lives off of sunlight using photosynthesis, similar to The End in MGS3. If her skin was too covered then it would hinder her. And before you say "But what about her grey XOF that you can unlock and the Sniper Wolf outfit and blah blah blah" just remember that the developers probably put those in just to please ♥♥♥♥♥♥ little gamers like you who can't appreciate the game as a whole and have to nitpick at the dumbest and most ridiculous things, especially whenever it's a Metal Gear Solid game.

Just dawned on me...

MGS5 has the opposite effect of the game Remember Me. The main character who was female and had a boyfriend in the story...that people went nuts over because it was "weird". If I remember correctly, one of the devs slipped an internal memo in the media from one of the higherups proclaiming the same thing and demanding it be removed.

I don't...what the ♥♥♥♥ is wrong with people.

Everything from now on needs to be robots standing in formation, not moving. Somehow, someone would still find some kind of sexual repression or some ♥♥♥♥ even in that.

That segment should really only take you 8 minutes tops, even if you suck at the game. it's literally two levels, with a few gaurds and you can grab a cardboard box early on to hide in instead of spinning desperately to knock gaurds over. it's also only in that one small part of the game, for maybe 10-20 minutes if you suck and play on a difficulty way too hard for you.

Regardless....in those minutes there was more nudity shown by Raiden than the entirety of MGS5 with Quiet. That is a fact.

I don't like fanservice cause I feel it insults my intelligence. It's distracting and makes it hard for me to take the story seriously. There are better ways catching a players interest than throwing (unrealistic) sexuality in my face. I mean, the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ shower scenes? And the ACC? Come on. At least in MGS3 it served a purpose when EVA was trying to seduce Snake. This is just stupid.

Actually it'd be more immature of you to throw a temper tantrum over a bikini-clad woman rather than just accept that they put it in the game. If Quiet dancing around in the ACC is enough to disturb your gameplay so badly that you need to rant on the forums about it, then maybe you're the immature one. Its really not a matureaty issue. Its a video game designed for entertainment. The game has been designed to have serious tones and child like goofyness. They zoom in on a man's ass right before a group of people get gunned down in the beggining sequence. A bikini clad sniper? Fits right in with a soldier sliding down hills in a box to knock down soldiers like a bowling ball.

One of the important things about being mature is knowing when to be serious and what's appropriate for different scenarios. I think this is what a lot of people who have knee jerk reactions to design's like quiet. Its completly inappropriate in a political way. But for entertainment in a video game that's built on a goofy undertone of the horrors of war, its pretty fine. The only thing that was wrong was kojima trying excuse it as anything but what it is. A bikini clad sniper that waves her boobs around in every cutscene.
