Help! My GMP keeps disappearing. How can I stop this?

Hi guys, I am a newer player who is currently only on mission 21. However, I keep on losing GMP when I go to sleep or turn off the game. I will end a session with 6 digit GMP (I know its not that much) but when I come back it will ALWAYS be in the red (-5 digits). Does my base use GMP offline? I am doing something wrong? What can I do to combat this?

Are you connected online everytime you start the game? A significant portion of your resources/gmp is stored online. If you go offline it'll deduct the difference and you be left with less to work with on your offline playthough

I wish I had known this. I went offline at one point and immediately lost 2,000,000 GMP and never got it back.

I wish I had known this. I went offline at one point and immediately lost 2,000,000 GMP and never got it back.

You lose it temporarily. Once you reconnect you get it back.

I think the whole online/offline functionality is flawed. In my opinion there should be a opt out option for people who wanta strictly single player experience without ANY penalties. I wonder whos awful decision it was to penalize those who prefer SP.

Where can I access this online bank, then? Because I can't spend the money regardless of whether or not I'm online.

You have two banks, offline and online. Any GMP spent comes for your offline bank first then when that's depleated, you start pulling from your online bank. When you lose connection, obviously you lose access to your online funds and if your offline bank is low or empty, it goes negative because of it.

If you've built your FOB, then you can see how much you have stored online.

Calm down, that's the first time you've explained it.

I have built my FOB, but I can't see the 2,000,000 GMP anywhere, and I can't spend or see it regardless of whether I'm online or offline. It's just gone.

then you missed something cause money gets back on your total gmp amount when you reconnect, so you probably didn't notice it, you've built fob or paid something...

No, around a week ago I unlocked the FOB and had around 3,500,000.
I spent around 1,000,000 on various research projects at that point to help defend the newly acquired FOB's. This left me with roughly 2,500,000.
I disconnected, it immediately said -2,000,000.
I reconnected almost immediately and didn't gain the money back; I still had around 500,000.
I never got the money back. I've tried starting it up online and offline, that money is simply gone. Why is it incomprehensible to you that this game would have a bug?

I keep dealing with this as well. A few times early on were due to the online/offline nonsense. I'd freak out for a bit and then get all the cash back after reconnecting. However, now the stuff is just disappearing altogether. I thought I'd just messed up but it's happening a lot and I'm playing everyday. I'll have 6 or 7 figures left over when I quit and when I jump on later I'll find myself in the red by the same amount, online or not.

Having not delved into the multiplayer (I'm too cheap to pay for it) I wasn't sure if other players were just stealing it somehow. Whatever it may be, it's very very frustrating. I need to invest in a Fraud platform for my Mother Base.
