Kojima wasn't even that involved with the game, which means most of the changes were out of his control besides his "Give this trash some hollywood cutscenes instead". He was too busy with the next true MGS game.
I can't understand what kind of wicked mind one has to have in order to think that The Twins Snake is how Kojima really wanted MGS1 to be, considering how different it is to the rest. I just... I don't even... And he even links to the visual novel as if that meant anything.
I... I'll leave this thread. I can't take so much stupidity in one go. Why aren't the mods doing their job yet? Why is this guy still not banned?
Oh and the first MGS was 15 ppl. 70 for MGS2 like the documentry for it explains that.
and when you look at the AI for MGS2, they had soliders moving like real soliders. hand signals, sweep and clear, taps on the shoulder when last man pass and the back guy walks backward.
I there was even hand signals in MGS4. That's not only a standard for MGS since 2, but just part of realism.
seeing them move according to sometihng like http://www.dlsu.edu.ph/offices/sps/rotc/pdf/ms1/MVMT-FMN-TECH.pdf
would have made more sense.
Instead we're back to MGS patrol lines, and then during evasion they're just moving about randomly. You can say it's impossible to have AI for enemy units, but really that's all the game needs other then levels, and it would have been 10/10 IMHO, even with the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ main OPS.
I think that's the main thing that disappoints me.
You can say they didn't have the time or budget, but if you remember Camp Omega in Ground Zeros... They game engine was already done. They were not building a game from scratch, nor is this there first game. I find it so hard, that everything is so basic in the game, except for a bunch of cutscenes that hardly anyone but miller, ocelot, and huey talk in, the one skullface speech was in a jeep and done before game launch.
What the hell took so long, picking places to hide 6 kids?
La Le Lu Li Lo man ... I got nothing else to explain it. It would make a better story then Kojima can't make a good game to save his life. Even Metal Gear Rising was a great Metal Gear game and that wasn't even Kojima....
