how to stop man on fire?

I am on mission 18 or so where you rescue the kid from the devils house and then have to immobilize the man on fire.. what is the best way to do this? I have been running around inside the small area with the water. I notice he stops a second when you throw smoke, stun or sleep..

I have tried to melee once i do that and he instant kills me.. my sniper rifle will knock him back but i cant get behind him to knock into the water.. if i move then he moves and wont stand still so i can knock backwards. what is the best way to immobilize him.. are tranq rounds worth anything here?

Let him chase you under one of the water towers and blow those up. The water will stun him, and you can call in a chopper/run out while he's out. You can also blow up the gas tank next to that pool of water while he's in between them, and that'll take him out for good.

Water pistol or C4 the water tower when he is near it.

there are water towers you can blow up or you can also develop a water gunz

If you want to have an ending fit for a Michael Bay Film, Run to the cliff ledge next to the water tower and face the front of the Jeep. the man will teleport to you in a column of fire. Run to the jeep and drive toward him. bail out before you hit him with the Jeep. He will go over the cliff and into the water.

You can also put C4 on the Fuel tank in the middle of the map, next to the shallow pool of water. The explosion can push him into the water and kill him.

thanks, very easy doing the c4 on the tower.. I wasn't even thinking that those were water towers at first and trying to knock him into the small pools.

If you have the water pistol, you can unload 5 clips into him while runnning in circles. Its amusing but not a good expendature of time.

You can also go into the water and wait for him to stand at the edge. When he is there throw a grenade behind him. Its explosion will push him in the water. Or push him with a jeep in the water.

You can also shotgun him into the water.

Either ram him off the cliff, or shoot him a bunch with the water pistol. Miller and Ocelot will say it's ineffective at the start, but just keep pummeling him and he'll go down.

Or run around for 10 mins and it will start to rain

i was trying it w/ sniper rifle and its very tough.. pretty fun mission to repeat with all the ways to get him.
