Weird Pitch Dark teleportation bug

I'm experiencing a really weird bug on the pitch dark mission. I'll be approaching the oil field, but when i get approx. 600m away the game teleports me straight to the control room.

I've tried the mission 3 times now, and it's happened every time. Has anyone had the same issue but found a fix?

I've had the glitch happen to me when I was trying to capture that vulture, it was a pain having to do it again cause I wasn't able to do the other mission goals.

Never seen something like that.
I can only suggest verify files integrity.

Other than that, who cares. Press the button then sneak to the pipe, plant C4, move to a container near the gate, blow up C4, jump on container then press and hold E twice.

If people figure out how this glitch is triggered and if they can do it in other levels speedrunners would have a new game.

Actually this is possibly the same glitch cheaters abuse in FOB to teleport in few seconds to the Core.
I would also like to know what triggers it so Konami can patch it ASAP.

I've had glitches in 2 different forms in this mission. One where I was teleported to a random spot that was nowhere near where I started out after the cutscene from blowing up the separator tank, and another similar to the OP's where I was just driving across a field in a jeep between Bwala ya Masa and the oil refinery when the game just locked up for several seconds and then jumped to the cutscene of Snake shutting down the pump controls. Um... okay? Thanks, game, I guess?

It's a really frustrating bug. I know it's probably not too important, but i still feel like i'll be missing something if i carry on!

I've just tried the mission for a 4th time, taking exactly the same route, and it worked perfectly. So strange...

Necro but I just saw this bug happen to me. I gas bombed 4 children and 2 adults before extracting them all. Then I jumped into the jeep on the road and started to drive towards the power plant or whatever it is. Then I got teleported into the room with the switch.

ANOTHER necro. Had same teleportation glitch. Mine teleported me in at silly o'clock in the morning with all guards in their spawn places.

So what you did, drive in a vehicle, go a specific direction, and open the idroid at a certain moment.

I have never seen this, at all, in all the time I played. So this must be something related to a set of specific triggers, otherwise i have no explanation to this.

I suspect you guys are all on online mode... so maybe thats it. Other games like Far Cry had crazy behaviour when the online services started lagging.
