Serval VS Brenan
I have to shoot down a chopper from long distance without raising alarm.
I thought serval was anti material sniper rifle kinda MGS version of M82 barett .50
but I can see that brenan has better stats (same penetration , more damage etc...) and is more expensive (so better quality ?) dispite the fact it's not listed as "anti material"

Which one should i take ? which is the ultimate extreme range sniper rifle ? (chopper, female skull etc...)

I prefer Serval, although brenan it's a litle bit stronger with the serval you don't need to reload, because it is almost an automatic amr rifle :)

Serval ---> Semi Automatic
Brenan ---> More range/damage.

Go with the Serval, some choppers will need like 3 shots, it's easier to take them down with the Serval.

ok thank you

Hell yeah, man, dropping Hinds with the AMR was like easy-mode and very satisfying... But some of those Tank Unit side ops have these different, elite looking versions. They're probably red like the better tanks are, and they appear to have some extra armor, but the difference is HUGE - those gunships can take 15+ direct AMR shots to down. They are so dangerous it's scary. Plus they swat Pequod out of the sky like a broken bird :( Poor bastards. They aren't even good at fighting units on the ground, despite being maxed out with missiles, speed, and armor.
Anyway, back on topic, I think the AMR even has a lot more ammo (like 40-50 rounds, right?) than the Brennan, so it's hard to justify in any situation, really. Unless I'm forgetting something, or you really like that powerful feeling of the bolt action.
brennan and good aim is all you need,

Serval can fire an extra shot or two in the time it takes to rack the bolt back on the Brennan.

Tank unit choppers take around 4 hits from the Serval to crash/burn. With solid aim placing shots right I've done it in 3. Though admittedly, I can do it in under a drum from my Grade 6 SVG.

I'm talking about the red/black, elite, armored choppers. Once you find them, use your Serval and tell me how it worked out for you, lol

Hmm. Which missions are they in? I've yet to find a chopper that took more than 4 shots from the Serval. That's including every armored unit mission I've done, the tanks tank far more shots than the choppers and the APCs take 1 more. (I do most of the missions with just the Serval, an SVG w/drum mag, and an Uragan) Sure, the base Brennan had far less damage and used to take like 7 shots but the Serval has always done fantastic against them.

Those things can take multiple hits from the best rocket launcher even, it's ridiculous.

Or two shots from a CGM 25.

Same results. Then again, that is a guided cluster.

yeah but initial claim was "no alert" ^^ it's for mission with the arm dealer. needed to shoot down the chopper without trigger any alert, from far away. Brenan did it right. One shot.

Yep! I found one on Tank Unit 7 (maybe?) and it took FIVE locked-on barrages to down the thing. I wasn't using the super max version they just added (I'm not paying 200-something precious metal for a gun every time I deploy! Same with the maxed NL PSG! I already had the bull barrel on my rifle from developing it earlier, why would I spend twice the money and 269PM to use it?! That's equivalent to 269,000GMP. And it already cost 20,000PM just to develop!), but it was the original max upgrade version.
I don't get why they just forced crazy PM costs on all of the new items (even the next level stun grenades? LOL). I know it wasn't used for much at all, before, but I liked having it around and I've probably gone from close to 100k down to 2k thanks to all of those "grade 7" items. I would like to use the new NL shotgun, as it's OP as hell now, but it just *bothers* me knowing that I'm spending PM every time I deploy with it. It's that way I feel about using the two drugs that cost Haoma - I know I have like 1,500, but I'm still afraid of running out! Oh and that new NL PSG also costs a ton of Lutea (same with the sleep grenade launcher, unfortunately :( I wish I could just mod them infinite to ease the unnecessary OCD that eats my brain when I use that ♥♥♥♥, hahaha
Got a little off-topic, there, but bottom line is: those hardcore elite choppers are out there... and they don't play no games.

IKR? I was like WTF after 3 hits. Situation made much worse since there was not much cover for me :e

Best things against those super red choppers I found was the missile launcher that shoots like 5 homing missiles in one shot. 3 salvos of that will kill them. But yeah the semi auto rifles usually have a bit worse stats but make up for it with fast fire rate that makes them better for in combat situations. I would only use the bolt actions for long distance tranqing when your sneaking.
