Found a new way to extract child soldiers
So, if you put them in a vehicle and fulton extract the vehicle it seems to extract the child as well! Sure, it's expensive as all get out, but at least you don't have to run them all the way back to the chopper until you get that portal fulton thingy. (Sorry for not knowing the name :< I haven't gotten to it yet)

Sidenote: You can extract them with that portal fulton, right?

There's also a regular fulton upgrade that allows children to be fultoned.

Pretty sure you get it after you beat chapter 1.

Thanks for the info! I must be almost there (I think). I've been taking it nice and slow so I'm only on mission 28(?) or so.

As far as I know you get the item you need to for that upgrade after you beat Eli in a side quest on MB.

Ah ok, I have that side mission right now, but I got caught up in the whole Code Talker arc so I haven't done it yet ^^

You get the child upgrade before episode 31 (I think I was developing it somewhere at 29), but the wormhole fulton is unlocked in Chapter 2 (epilogue)

You need to capture the Legendary Jackal (Side Ops 50, after Mission 31/Chapter 1).
Then you need this:
850,000 GMP
R&D Team lvl 40
Support Unit lvl 40
