Phantom Cigar and Build/Research Times

Ive heard of people complaining about some of the build times and I thought it would be obvious, so I hang out on MB and order the construction of a new platform and smoke a dubby for awhile. I check my build time after and not much difference. Do I need to upgrade my cigar all the way for this to work or is this an oversight? Or, if this works for everyone else did I just do it wrong or is it a bug of some kind?

Has anyone else tried? Thats what I get for trying to think outside the box. Theres some mention of a patch though, so maybe they fixed it now? Didnt seem to fix Ddog not wanting to stay put where I f-ing tell him to though...

It's not a oversight, it has its own real world clock and you'll need to wait X amount of minutes/hours or do missions in the meanwhile.

Can we like, just change the date on our calendar then or something cuz like, really its dumb it doesnt work with the cigar :/ *goes to look for a mod to remove them*

The time it takes for stuff to build is based on real time, so if it takes 1h and 36m to build a new platform you're going to have to wait that long in real life.

Doubt it, because the timer only runs while you are playing the game, unless you are building an FOB Platform, in which case, it will take place in real time, you can order it's construction and exit the game and it will get going.
