"Peace day never came..."
Awesome lolol
Before there was the S3 program, there existed the B2 program...
Exactly, he even supposedly sees Kaz and Ocelot in the same room, giving him info on her condition. Giving her a medical diagnosis for her weird behavior. I wish the game would give you better clues as to what you are hallucinating vs what's really happening. Only time I ever even saw my screen change color was in the hospital when you reset your knee, then the blood on the floor turns bluish. There's no clues to Paz's storyline till right at the very end.
Can someone like make this video with the Phantom Pain Snake model and actually show this scene? Because I can't get over how hilarious it looks in my head.
Everyone talks about the Moby D1ck references, but there are also a lot of 1984 ones that seem to go unnoticed even though the game mentions them. The most obvious is that the game itself is set in the year 1984--there's no reason the coma needed to last 9 years (and that's a bit crazy) except to have the game take place in that significant year. The "Big Boss is watching you" posters on Mother Base during part of the game. There's mention of the term "doublethink" in one of the tapes, and the game itself uses the concept later by giving us a mission called "Truth" that introduces itself by giving a quote that says "There are no such things as facts, only interpretations." The game is simultaneously saying "This is the truth" and "Truth does not exist." So how can we really conclude anything?
Regarding Paz, I definitely felt that she slowly became more loyal the longer she stayed with MSF on Mother base. She really didn't want to use Zeke towards the end. She was between a rock and a hard place quite literally.
In Ground Zeroes we learn from the tapes that she protected Big Boss & MSF's secrets whilst Chico gave in and told Skull Face everything. Skull face of course knew beforehand and played Chico like a fiddle using his affections for Paz.
Finally with Paz in phantom pain. At first I was skeptical regarding her scar having not healed even after 9 years, not to mention she looks the same as she did in peace walker. Then once the 2nd cutscene came I knew it was a hallucination. Venom's memories as Big Boss tells us that Big Boss definitely felt guilty about not being able to save her.
All aboard the feel train to feel town guys.
Skullface doctor said he removed her organs to make room for the bomb, and she wouldn't live another 24 hours.
Impossible for her to have survived that AND the fall from the chopper, even if they did remove both bombs (which likely wasn't the case anyway)
I forgot about Skullface saying that about her organs being removed. I need to replay GZ again, kind of feel like it's supposed to be with TPP anyway.
I have to go back and listen to the tapes again. I didn't know the part regarding removing her organs. Good find man.
Man the tape of her torture is freaking hard to listen to, i know it's fake but the actress did such a great job selling the yelps and screams of pain. It's vicious.
