METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN

Reverting to a backup save
Is it possible to revert to a backup save and not screw up your online FOB and other stuff? Normally I wouldn't think this is an issue, but I'm not sure how the online FOB will be affected. Obviously the reason for doing this is because i want to complete the game but havea backup to revert to so i can still have my buddy with me.

Anyone can confirm this doesn't mess up online FOB or anything else? I would think if the online FOB is connected to the save then I guess that would mean it would revert the online FOB to the backup save as well?

Well because doesnt your online FOB help your motherbase? Idk maybe I'm not understanding how they are separated.

The online fob when you develop it adds to your motherbase by increasing the staff capacity and stuff right? So if you revert to lets say a super early backup and it retains your online FOB won't it make your motherbase super strong early?

And thanks lol. My friends with metal gear got a kick out of it too

Yeah you can. The save files are located at:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\<random numbers>\311340\remote

The files there are your save data which you can backup. Not sure exactly how it interacts with FOB, but I think when you next connect, your local save data will overwrite what's written on the remote server.

Alright cool... guess I'll give it a try later. It's gonna be a while until I do it anyways.

Also, Reservoir Dogs is one of my favorite movies. Would make a fun CS:GO team lol, thanks for giving me the idea

FOB things are tied someghow to your save , wiping the save will wipe FOB too but any coins paid/earned and territory purchased will remain same

Reverting save will basicly mean you have to rebuild your FOB and everything

I reverted save to test ground how few things work

So let's say you take a backup when your online FOB has 3/4 platforms on all development things. When you complete the game you end yup with 4/4. Then you revert to backup, but now since you reverted all of them wilkl be 0/4?
