Losing GMP when going offline?

Whenever I'm disconnected from the server (which is more often than I'd like, I get a message saying, among other things, that I will be unable to use GMP or resources stored on my FOB. The resources, I get, but how is GMP stored on the FOB, and how can I take it out of my FOB? This is irritating because when the servers disconnect, I will go from 1-2 million GMP to -500,000 or something ridiculous.

I think this has to do with the new online resource feature. Better keep more than 3M GMP next time before they give a fix.

Same thing happened to me. I had to sell a bunch of vehicles and weapons to get out of the red. Really lame.

That happened while i was selling vehicles. And the most expensive ones. Then, just booom, -613000. Good thing i have 40000 precious metal

I'm confused. If I'm offline and I have 5 mil, then go online, and back off, how do I suddenly lose millions of gmp?

Part of your GMP is stored in the new feature - online resource. Thus, when FOB offline, your GMP is gone with FOB. You will get it back when FOB is back.

I don't actually lose the resources, though. Once the server came back, I suddenly had 2 million GMP again. I'm just confused as to how GMP is associated with FOBs. Why can't I remove my GMP from the FOB, and why is the vast majority of it in the FOB?

Right there with ya on PS4, fellas. I was afraid I was doing something wrong. I can't find if you can allocate the funds and resources manually. Last two nights now I've logged off with lots of gmp and log on to find negative 6 figures. It's a major, major screw up I think, considering it directly effects the single player in a strong way, and this is a Metal Gear game after all...

Le sigh. Gonna have to start keeping my quote in word pad, lel.

You have an offline bank and an online bank, each can hold a maximum of 5mil (which equates to 10mil total). Any GMP you spend comes from your offline pool first, then from your online pool after the first is drained.

There currently is no way to manually move GMP from online to offline, but if you stockpile resources (processed materials/vehicles/weapon platforms) you can sell those off if the need arises, such as losing connection and going into the red.
